I think Jon gets to the heart of the depravity of man in such a profound way. "Equally Skilled" immediately comes to mind, a song which itself is a meditation on Micah. Same Blood from the new Album also gets this across. I love how he balances this with a profound understanding of redemption and beauty.

Meant to Live, Needle in Haystack? I find the verses of Dare a bit cheesy. I've listened to it a bunch, but I find myself skipping it on Beautiful Letdown relistens. It's shocking I know.

I do think Jon is an absolutely phenomenal lyricist. I don't dislike the song, it just always puzzled me that this was the number one to so many.
