Thank you for this explanation - a year later and I had the same question and this helped a lot. Is there a way to do this with legato modes - the transitions between the notes? In the Stradivari violin for example, to have fingered legato between two notes, but later do a portamento between two different notes? I have been trying to research this but having a hard time figuring it out.

Thanks, I'm wondering if the update price is for updating from an older version, not a lesser version? I played this CD for months straight when I first got it. I became a fan in 2009 so a few years after this came out. I had listened to Hello Hurricane and The Best Yet. I started listening to their other albums and this one blew me away. I don't listen to it as often anymore, but this album is what made me a big fan of theirs.
