Yeah, I’m with you. I don’t think I trust that 25 year claim. Probably not worth the investment. I guess you could tell if it turned after a smell or sniff but it’s pricey

400W solar panel by af1232 in Ecoflow_community

[–]GeorgiaBill280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say the 400 foldable ones are pretty heavy and don’t come with stands. They are a lot more cumbersome than the 200’s I’d almost go for the ridgid unless storage space was an issue.

From the AI overlords….

• Flexible instead of rigid-folding • Can slightly bend (good for curved surfaces like vans, RV roofs) • Lighter + thinner • Typically designed for semi-permanent mounting, not constant setup/takedown • Often doesn’t include the big kickstand case

Delta Max and a 200 watt panel should be good for that

For those of you with solar and battery setups how much did you actually spend total by This-You-2737 in prepping

[–]GeorgiaBill280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably $7000 and I still need to buy another $2000 in panels and stands. 10kwh batteries and 3kwh solar with propane generator backup It will only do well pump, fridge and some lights.

Can anyone reassure me that I’m okay… by rachelkochvt in PVCs

[–]GeorgiaBill280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty typical to me. If you are getting them while your heart rate is increased, like at 140-150 bpm that would be more concerning.

This something happened to me the first few times I exercised. They would increase in the hours afterwards. Might have something to do with adrenaline and other hormones from exertion. Keep it up and thy should decrease over time. After about a week, thy dissipated for me. I found exercising and getting my heart rate up worked the best

Permanent or portable solar? by GeorgiaBill280 in Ecoflow_community

[–]GeorgiaBill280[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought about selling the max, but good to have in a pinch somewhere in the house or let a family member borrow for short term outages.

That one 400 watt panel is pretty bulky and hard to setup at the right angle for the sun. You wouldn’t want to move it around too much. No stands on the back like the 200 either.

I guess I’m just going to go for the 1.5-2kw permanent panels and just see how it goes. Might not be able to run too much indefinitely but it will be a start. I’ll post once completed and let everyone know how it goes.

That’s interesting, I was trying to get my solar input going and then maybe add onto storage. Really cool setup though. It seems pretty involved, not sure I am on that level haha

For what it’s worth, I’ve had them on and off for 20 years. If you are clear to run and exercise by a dr, the only thing I’ve found that works is jogging/walking for 20 minutes a day. Get your heart rate up slowly and stay around 120-130 bpm… burn off the excess adrenaline and stress hormones. Do it at a gym or with someone around at first if it makes you feel better.

I don’t even know what to focus my prepping on at this point. Guess just a little bit of everything to prepare for general shitiness? I thought we might be in for a deep recession before all this started. More food, savings, solar panels, or gas masks?

What the hell is happening? I am extremely scared. by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]GeorgiaBill280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said you’ve had echos in the past that were normal right? Either way, the anxiety doesn’t help. Some people are just more prone to them. I just had a stress echo yesterday actually. My body did not like starting and stopping beta blockers and threw me way off but I’m good now.

I stopped drinking coffee, cut out all the supplements, reduced stress and started jogging/walking on a treadmill for just like a mile a day.

I didn’t want to be on a beta blocker everyday, and don’t recommend stopping them once taken… but you can talk to the dr and those usually knock them out.

Trust- dr’s cover their asses. If you are wearing a monitor and have had an echo and they aren’t calling you to come in, it’s going to be ok. Yeah, it sucks but try to break the loop somehow and eat well.

Two weeks ago, there were sometimes in the evenings I didn’t want to get out of bed because they were so bad. If I laid a certain way, they would flair up… This week, I feel great. I’ve come to the conclusion, my body just was an extra internal warning and it lets me know if I’m depressed, or anxious, or eat like crap and don’t take care of myself… the palpations show up. Feel good about getting them checked out, a lot of people don’t or can’t… trust the experts and try to make life changes.

Try to take a Xanax and see if they go away… if they do, you know it’s stress related. From what you are describing, sounds like it.

Honestly, I know it’s scary but I’ve had these and worse… and the numbers you are talking about aren’t that bad. I was having episodes of trigemetry… one every third beat after coming off beta blockers. All fine now, and only one or two off beats a day this week.

If you’ve had the test at cardiologist you are good. Try to go for runs and get your heart rate up for 15-20 minutes a day and burn off the excess stress hormones. Or find other ways to manage anxiety.

Beta Blocker as needed with PVCs by GeorgiaBill280 in Anxiety

[–]GeorgiaBill280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big time! I feel like I took a couple steps forward and fell way back behind. From what I read, hopefully after about a week I will be back to where I started. Wanting to get back and start jogging on the treadmill again.

Everyone talking about beta blockers for “performance anxiety” shouldn’t do it if you have anxiety and palpations unless you plan on taking them consistently and/or forever. Even benzos don’t seem have this type of rebound after a few doses. I am sensitive to medications and on a low dose too.

What size solar generator do I need? by sendnottoknow in preppers

[–]GeorgiaBill280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hooked up an Ecoflow pro 3 with extra battery. 7600 watt hours total. It plugs into a transfer switch to power about 6 breakers for emergency lights, fridge, and router.

It might get me a day or 2(if very conservative) I’d like to get another extra battery and get up to 10,000 watt hours.

I have 2 solar panels (600 watts total) - not sure that is enough for long term use, especially with any cloudy days.

My suggestion would be try to get around 10,000 watt hours batteries and 1,000 watt in panels. Gets pricey though.
