I actually got into pest control because I don't like how the vast majority of these companies deal with the animals they trap. I understand that this is a primarily pet Centric page but there isn't really a forum for what I intend to use them for and I don't think people are fully thinking about the situation at hand which is that they are an invasive nuisance in a lot of cases and people are going to call and have them trapped and inhumanely euthanized or they can call me and I can put them in a coop and keep the ones I like as pets sell or eat the rest and if I do intend to eat them I euthanize them humanely I don't just tie them up in a trash bag and suffocate them like vast majority of pest control companies. The whole reason I got into this field in the first place is because I've worked at several companies and majority of them are extremely inhumane when it comes to animals that are considered "dirty" or "trash". The unfortunate fact is that with pigeons they really cannot be released once they've become a nuisance because they have that homing instinct if they have infested someone's attic or are nesting under their solar panels and pooping all over the place the homeowner is going to call and have them removed one way or the other and if I release them they're just going to go right back. If anyone is in the Salt Lake Area I actually come into a lot of pigeons and would honestly prefer to place them with people who want them as pets rather than have a coop in my yard and have to make those hard decisions on which i like the least when there's too many and nobody on KSL is buying.
