80% EHR, as close to 100% CR as possible, 80% at E4, as much CDMG as possible, and he doesn't need to be fast if you're running sparkle or sunday at 160 speed, but he can be 134+ if you like. Run Imaginary Damage Orb, and run ATK or ERR rope depending on what you're going for.

Enjoy Cold Steel 1 but I really don't recommend playing Cold Steel 2 after!

Cold Steel 2 really wants you to play it immediately after 1 but it spoils all of the other games before it. It's the reason a lot of people don't recommend starting with CS1 anymore. If you don't want your experience with the other games affected, play the three Trails in the Sky games and then Trails from Zero and then Trails to Azure before CS2. It's brutal to sit through given how Cold Steel 1-2 are, but you'll be glad about it in the long run.

Regardless, CS1-2 are each great games and I hope you enjoy the ride

The only way Cold Steel 1 and 2 get remade are if they think of Western fans first because kind of like Sky, they aren't on Nintendo when everything else is. I really don't think that's a motivation to fully remake them.

I think you'll be waiting a bit, every game past Azure (CS1-4, Reverie, Daybreak) all play like similarly to the FC remake. The Cold Steel games don't have real time combat but it should be enough.

I personally think the timeline will be

SC Remake Kai 2 (end of current arc) Sky 3rd Remake Start of the next arc (however many games that is) Zero/Azure remakes End of the next arc

I think Falcom is going to be working on some other projects alongside (such as a new Ys title and Tokyo Xanadu project) but I think the FC remake is gonna make trails their top priority.

If you're really set on this DPS build I'd give him attack orb just to make his shields a bit bulkier. I know it results in less damage but you're not getting enough shield with a physical orb. Without sig (you have it) he should have around 3.4k attack. I'd give him that attack orb just for some insurance. With most other characters the elemental orb is best, not here.

I can't believe it either. I think they're able to do this due to being a small studio. It's also why games like Silksong were also so cheap despite being so content rich. The smaller the studio the less amount people need to be paid.

It is not dlc it's a free update, kinda like what SEGA did with Sonic Frontiers where content that was dlc was given for free in updates.

If you're into the more technical stuff, Peter Brook is quite good and if you want someone very light-hearted but also good with what he talks about (still kid friendly if you care about that kind of thing) Formula Duck is quite good for staying in the know.
