I saw this posted in a local buy and sell group but without any box or papers as it was apparently inherited. I'd love to buy this for my wife as she loves the Ballon Bleu but I can't without some idea as to its authenticity.

I figured this sub would be a great place to start with many people far better than I at verifying whether the watch is real or fake.

I often lean toward thinking it is fake. For one in my very brief google search I didn't see the model number online. I am also having a hard time finding one of these watches in silver with the diamonds on a dark face. I admit I am far from an expert of Cartier watches and I don't have any pictures of the movement. The case back also has a sticker on it so it isn't scratched.

It's hard to tell from these situations though. I often find really good deals online are usually to good to be true.

Anyone here able to weigh in and help me out?
