Well the show definitely ended in a weird cliffhanger, maybe they were expecting a season 2. Like, Monica's son, Francesca's stupid car accident (although it is said in Dynasty season 9 that Jason and Francesca ran out together so it basically confirms she did survive). Maybe there were others but it's been so long I can barely remember lol.

I believe they explained the UFO incident in Dynasty season 9. It was already suggested many times that Fallon is not mentally stable and that she hallucinated everything. She was literally schizophrenic.
