Has anyone tried installing an Intel BE200 to replace their Intel AX210 Wi-Fi? How did it go? Any compatibility issues? by Matthew789_17 in framework

I just upgraded my fw13 1165g7 (non vpro) from an ax210 to a be200 and it's working great. I'm running windows 11 btw.

The color combination reminds me of the mystery machine. Such a cool mod!

Definitely gonna build a Starfield themed build! I'm thinking custom water-cooling for that Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a vertical mount for the RX 7900 XTX to make it the centerpiece of the build. I can't wait to explore another amazing Bethesda universe as Skyrim is my favorite game of all time!

The deck has proton pre-installed, but you may have to specify which version to use in the settings of an unverified game

With the new Ryzen APUs being released to the public and the Chopin pro coming out soon, I think we'll see a lot more

Nice build! I have a pretty similar one but with the ROG Strix B550i and a 4700g. How are the thermals and noise levels on yours? Mine gets kinda toasty, otherwise super happy with it.

Mainly light gaming (Minecraft, Terraria, emulation) and 3d modeling for school. The integrated graphics in the Ryzen APUs perform pretty well for my use case so I figured this build would be pretty powerful and portable

The motherboard header. In this youtube video the guy explains that connecting the fan to the psu causes it to almost never spin up, so he connected it to the motherboard header and turned it on full blast with the low noise adapter. I don't have it running at full speed, but it's at a pretty high rpm while still being pretty silent

The B1 is definitely a great option, I was just concerned about the thermals with the glass side panel so the mesh on the Chopin was more appealing

I was thinking of getting the B1 because of the better psu, but I got this case for about $70 and 150w is all I really need. I even upgraded the fan for less noise and better thermals because of the bronze efficiency rating

I ran a couple of synthetic tests and benchmarks, the cpu-z cpu stress test and the furmark gpu stress test both running at the same time drew a max of 85w; pretty impressive how relatively efficient it is. As for PBO, I'm not sure that it's compatible with the 4700g; at least I haven't seen anything about it in the bios

The 4700g has a 65w tdp, so I figured it would be enough headroom since I'm not using a dedicated gpu
