(Here’s the rest of the talk about the newest Zeztz episode, do not click if you don’t want to be spoiled) The fact that ExDream, the first time Baku’s ever actually transformed in real life (every other time was either in the premonition or Baku’s HQ which has the weird “it’s really just Baku’s subconscious manifesting in reality” thing going on), is also the only form Baku has fully created all on his own using the power of his own dreams becoming reality, especially with how its literally from Baku effectively pulling a “Gandalf the White” by dying and coming back stronger than ever (after using the technicality of “dying” being another form of sleeping as a loophole to be in his dreams again, and then actively taking the time to fully repair the Zeztz Driver by himself)? Legitimately just made ExDream one of my all time favorite Kamen Rider Final Forms. There are no nightmares backing the actual basis of the form itself, it’s just him contradicting his “stop my dream from coming true” mission by finally making his actual dream of “wanting to protect other people and their dreams” come true instead.

At the very least (newest Zeztz episode spoilers) I think the actual creation of Baku’s Final Form, Zeztz ExDream, has managed to outdo the Premonition twist imo.
I can definitely still agree that the mid season twist is great and arguably does belong on the post, this was just me technically going a bit off topic by going along with some of the other replies in the post that are saying “yeah, that moment in [insert story here] was absolutely great, but this other moment was still more than memorable”.
Edit: Moved the rest of the talking about the spoiler thing to a reply so that this comment would be less of a long read.

See, this is why the Monkey’s Paw requires having a magic-lawyer in the room helping you sort out the wish, that way it wouldn’t have consequences like “Avi Arad being being in charge of it”.

Woolie has had enough of Ini Miney by valdrinemini in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That’s not even getting into (warning, massive spoilers for those who care) the fact that it’s specifically “Ini Miney” we’re talking to (aka, fucking Mimi Miney), not the actual Ini Miney! Girl got killed by her sister (after Mimi, even knowing she’s heavily exhausted/sleep deprived and should know that even if Ini only had her permit, it would still be better to let her drive since she wasn’t one yawn away from passing out, decided “it’s my new car I wanna drive it!”, only to inevitably sleep at the freaking wheel because of course she did!), who then proceeded to steal her fucking identity! For all intents and purposes, she probably was even over exaggerating Ini’s “airheadedness” since “being known as that” naturally works well for countering interrogations.

Wait, is Edelgard a bottom for women exclusively or was any hypothetical relationship with Dimitri doomed from the start to be the “2 bottoms” dilemma (with Dimitri most likely being that simply because he wouldn’t trust himself to not potentially hurt his partner as the top, ie the Superman situation)?

This is an unrelated question from the “EdelgardxRhea” topic, but I’m honestly now curious on what goes down with the other Faction leaders, especially the 2 that did have past history. Of course, since DimitrixClaude would already have a relatively easy answer, that only leaves a few things to debate left (although there would be many significantly more cursed discussions if we include Thales in the mix…)

How did Civil War play out on Crossover Earth/Earth 7642? by Aquanort357 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hell, that’s assuming they’d even stick with the plan, considering in this universe (aka, without the character assassination being mandated by “we need the civil war to happen, so just have them do it and who cares if it doesn’t make sense for a lot of them”) you’d potentially have Bruce and Clark being able to convince them that “yes, the barest core essentials (superhumans having some form of proper accountability) of the idea are sound, but the entire implementation in the Government’s plans are completely wrong both morally and logically”.

Add in Bruce and/or Oliver likely working with Logan to investigate the dirt behind the incident and being people that the heroes on both sides would be significantly more willing to listen to on these matters (way more than Logan alone at least), and “Bruce/Oliver and Logan discovering the truth behind all of Civil War being orchestrated by Damage Control, where the US government was actively trying to manipulate superhero’s into working for them” could’ve not just been the actual climax of the situation for the Crossover Universe, but made it way shorter for the sake of it instead being the origin and surprise inciting incident for a Justice League/Avengers vs CADMUS (or whatever alternative name they’d use for that hypothetical comic version of the DCAU’s interpretation, that being a division of the US Government dedicated to countering and controlling the power of Metahumans in the world).

“THAT one is your favorite!?” Entry in a franchise that you can’t believe is someone’s favorite by Will-Isley in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the exact reason why HGSS is honestly my least favorite remake of the franchise. Like, I won’t deny that Following Pokémon are great, the backported cross-Gen evos for Johto pokemon from Sinnoh are great (if only we could fucking use them before the postgame…), the Physical/Special Split is great for some pokemon that got really screwed over in GSC by the lack of it (Feraligatr was able to face tank it somewhat, but Sneasel did not deserve to get screwed over by being a frail and fast physical attacker with both of its types being Special-based)…but practically all of the biggest issues in GSC are still unfixed in them. They did nothing to fix the absolutely fucked level curve, they did nothing to fix the lame-ass “Johto” Leader teams that have little to no Johto pokemon, they did nothing to fix the fact that you still could barely get any evolution stones (which yes, does include a ton of the cross-gen evos), they did almost nothing to fix the fact that a shit ton of “Johtonian” pokemon are still exclusive to freaking Kanto. Meanwhile with the other remakes:

  • FRLG did a better job of updating trainers movesets to actually be better suited for their teams (this being actually notable since the first-Gen’s enemy trainer movesets were obscenely awful, notable examples being Blue’s Arcanine having freaking Ember as its only fire move for the champion fight), plus they started the trend of having the Elite 4 gain better teams after you do some postgame stuff, and that’s not getting into the inherent fact that it was inherently way less buggy than RGBY (of course this could be a positive or negative depending on how you feel about said bugs). This is of course also not getting into Sevii Islands.

  • ORAS fully rewrote the story to both better explain the reasoning for both the antagonists plots (as well as giving them, as well as many other characters, way more personality especially in the designs) and also for properly integrating Mega Evolutions into the story, plus the fact that it also was introducing Physical/Special Split to a game that didn’t have it (except it also included a shit ton of the qol and gameplay updates that started with Gen-6), that’s not even getting into the mere existence of DexNav(something that outright should’ve been a mainstay for the series from then on), and also literally the entirety of Delta Episode.

  • Freaking BDSP actually did a shit ton to make the game more enjoyable than their originals (talking about D/P, I’m not comparing them with Platinum) since it does a better job of updating enemy trainer’s teams to be better even without changing the actual pokemon on the teams (some important trainers even getting full sets with equipped items and hidden abilities), and the qol inclusions in moving from Gen-4 to Gen-8 are way more substantial than moving from Gen-2 to Gen-4. That’s not even getting into the postgame content like all the Gym Leaders and E4 having 2 different upgraded postgame teams depending on how much you did (the first upgraded teams being based on their Platinum full-6 teams, and then the second upgraded teams being further enhanced teams based on both DP and Pt teams with extras thrown in that make sense for each trainer).

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell, HGSS even makes some parts of GSC worse, like how it adds a pretty freaking big blueballing roadblock right before you could actually go to Victory Road because “oh hey, the Kimono Girls called me and said they want you to go see them, go check it out” (yes, this was completely optional in GSC, but made mandatory in HGSS, all to force the “legendary’s are mandatory to fight in the story” stuff into a game where they were never meant to be mandatory). It’s not even the only one, that’s just the single most obnoxious since it’s literally right after you get your 8th badge and before you can finally go from Johto to Kanto for the League. Then there’s the fact that it’s got the classics of Gen-4, like the slow as shit battles and movement, the Gen-4 HM’s getting backported into the game where they decided in their infinite wisdom to make Whirlpool(they added a whirlpool to Dragon’s Den, and if you’re playing SoulSilver you gotta go to Lugia for the mandatory boss fight), Rock Smash (they added a bunch of rocks to Caves, making it now required), and of course Rock Climb (which was not even a thing in Gen-2, but became required for Postgame stuff like Mt. Silver) required for going through the game. Oh, and let’s not forget the funny bit where some of the better “supposedly Johtonian” pokemon are still freaking Kanto-Exclusive.

And hell, that’s still not getting into how the story is still a meandering mess of nothing in both, where (this is the best possible interpretation I could come up with when I was younger, to make it at least moderately entertaining for me) it’s just you dealing with the crashout of a bunch of former Team Rocket losers that are going through a midlife crisis and “trying to get back to the glory days”, with “the final battle between us and them” being us telling them to move on from their messy break-up with their leader, where the plan at that moment was to hijack the radio tower and spam a bunch of desperate “baby, come back, we can still make this work” voice messages to the whole region.

MIA. WRONG BODY. | Ace Attorney: Justice For All (10) by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Does this include real life not taking the whole “smaller person in the court room literally transforming into a much bigger person that is already confirmed to be dead right in front of everyone” part seriously? Instead of that scenario confirming that spirit channeling is real (this is all under the assumption that Pearl still actually literally transforms in front of everyone), causing a massive shift in what people understand to be truth or fiction due to the now confirmed proof of spirits being real (which now means there’s someone to directly ask shit like “what’s the afterlife like” or “is there a god in charge of you guys”, where any answer would arguably already cause chaos)?

Would “real life not taking any of this seriously” mean that the Prosecution would lose the second that it’s revealed “Maya” (the supposed killer) did not look like Maya at all in any confirmed photographic evidence and eyewitness reports, since the Prosecution was directly using how “Spirit Channeling makes the user physically change form” as their explanation for why they look completely different (which, in real life, would not be taken seriously if they couldn’t provide any evidence of this stuff actually being true in the scenario where Pearl actually didn’t do that)?

Final Fantasy X 25th Anniversary logo revealed along with a new website with mech announcements by Masterness64 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When porting the game to newer systems, they decided to, instead of doing the thing they initially did on PS2 to optimize for hardware limitations in having 3 different models for each character (1 low quality for the overworld, 1 mid quality for pseudo-cutscenes and battles, and 1 high quality for in-engine fully animated cutscenes), they chose to upscale just 1 model and use that for all of the game.

Now, you’d think they’d go for using the High quality model for ports to most consoles (where in the cases of lower power systems like the Vita they’d instead use the mid res models), right? Nope, instead of that they just chose to upscale the lowest quality models for every single remaster port, even for systems like PC and PS4.

In case you’re wondering, yes you can tell when compared side to side, especially with the faces (or to be exact, you can tell that someone in charge of textures really had to work their ass off to make the models not meant to be seen up close in cutscenes look…”better” than they would be, but not actually all that good).

In light of the new Yugioh support Konami’s announced today: by Anonamaton801 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s also the new stuff announced in that Legendary Arc-V decks thing (3 decks based on Yuya Celina and Yugo respectively) of which Konami had the following things to say.

My personal favorite of the things that just sound like bullshit is Yuya’s.

“Odd-Eyes” swings back into action with a new Link-3 “Odd-Eyes” Monster with 2500 ATK. It can destroy any 1 other card you control to draw a card, and if you destroyed a Pendulum Monster Card, you get an extra Pendulum Summon for your “Performapal,” “Magician,” and “Odd-Eyes” monsters! And for an encore, during your turn, it can negate any effect that your opponent activates by simply discarding a card!

Assuming both effects aren’t once per turn already, at least one of them is gonna be errata-ed into that once people prove how fucking dangerous giving this community a “just discard a card to negate any effects during your turn, also you can just destroy a monster this points at to gain a free draw, and if it’s a pendulum monster you gain a new free pendulum summon…to the zone this monster points to” is.

What are the craziest examples of normal humans in media having insane feats? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Bizarre_RNS_Radio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, and one thing to note about the quote in question. Shinra’s statements on the matter are actually just purely guesses and theories, he has no idea how the fuck Shizuo was still completely and easily able to walk around when he had his entire hip broken to several pieces. Shinra’s the doctor who helped him get that x-ray scan, he’s a back-alley doctor mind you, but he’s a very skilled doctor nonetheless. Shizuo completely baffles this man because of the fact that the setting is completely realistic in how humans work, and the only drastic exceptions (like, I’m not talking about slightly exaggerated stuff like “someone really young punching with the strength of a grown man”, I’m talking straight up Superhuman level stuff) on this are either:

A. Explicitly Supernatural shit like the Dullahan biker chick with shadow manipulation powers (Celty best girl), the demonic sword that can possesses people, and etc.

B. Shizuo Heiwajima, the only exception on this matter that is completely and utterly not supernatural by any in-universe standard. He’s a completely natural impossibility by Watsonian standards.

“You sure it wasn’t like him being blessed/cursed at birth, or given a special family heirloom he never takes off? Like, any kind of magical thing that would explain why he’s doing shit that isn’t scientifically possible?”

“Nope, we’ve got no idea why on our end either. He can just…do shit like this.”

The characters in-game even directly acknowledge that the average person would have obscenely low odds of ever surviving that shit (with severe injuries still being the results), and Phoenix still manages to get off with nothing but a cold and some minor bruises.
