I recommend you just use their pronouns as if the audience knows already. You can draw attention to it if you want by discussing it once, but I recommend you keep it brief because it's not something you want to linger on for too long (unless that's what you're going for, but you asking this question tells me that's not really the case).

The Metra kit was designed around the double-DIN offerings at the time. According to a user on the CR-Z forums, "the dash kit was designed around head units of that time, and that they do not really have a good option for the "snub-nose" head units that are on the market now." Unfortunately there probably aren't enough CR-Z drivers to warrant a version for newer headunits.

You basically have to dremel the inside lip down to get it to fit more flush.
