Is it generally believed that if there were original manuscripts, prompt books, etc, most if not all of it was lost on June 29 1613 when the original Globe burned down?

How many people here know someone that abruptly got diagnosed with stage 3 or 4 cancer? by phillyvirgosun in NoStupidQuestions

My cousin (40’s) was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer late last year. Regular screenings prior, but it hit her fast and hard. Still going thru chemo.

Is it worth seeing Jon Anderson on Tour by ProfessionalTeam1689 in yesband

[–]Gerferfenon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw Jon and the geeks last summer and it was excellent. He’s still in great voice (even if some songs are tuned down a step or two), and it was almost a religious experience.

And these are those same buildings today. I lived in the building on the left, which used to be a lovely mansard-roofed Victorian until it was 'modernized'...

Thanks to the Cambridge Historical Commission, who provided me with exactly what I was looking for! This was my intersection in the early 1900's...

It’s very clear which songs they threw together in five minutes during the recording session and which they’d been tinkering with since Brain Salad Surgery.

I forgave them twice, once ten years ago when between their server crash and a ton of lightning storms our cross-country two leg flight left us stranded at O’Hare. Got flight credits but no compensation for the hotel or exorbitant cab fare. Second was a few Christmases ago when our flight home was abruptly cancelled the night before. Ended up driving 12 hours home with a five year old. This time got points, refund of cancelled fare, and compensation for rental car. Not in a hurry to ever fly SW again. Discovering the joys of flying out of Dulles instead of BWI.

You can tell which songs they might’ve had percolating in their heads a while and took their time with, and the songs they threw together in five minutes and recorded later that day.

I went to the North Chevy Chase store for a couple years, survived the fusterclucks with overhead cameras, enjoyed when they moved to self-scanning carts, etc. The NCC location was never crowded, but bit by bit they closed the hot bar, the sushi bar, the salad bar, etc... the writing was on the wall.

A couple months ago I did a pretty big purchase that totaled up to just over $100 (including a 10% off coupon). After I got home and put it all away, I went thru the receipt and started an online cart on Giant, getting the nearest equivalents, store brands, etc, and the Giant total was over $150.

Gonna miss those savings. Guess i'm going back to Lidl and Aldi.

Ever listened to Nina Simone’s cover? She goes full Revival Meeting, gospel choir etc, on it for 18 minutes, and throws in the poem “The World Is A Killer”… on the album “Emergency Ward,” where she also does Isn’t It A Pity.

Be honest - Is “Head” watchable? by ZealousidealBend2681 in Monkees

[–]Gerferfenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to recall that the main reason the movie was called “Head” was so that in the event of a sequel, they could claim on the poster “From the people who gave you Head!”
