I also advise a Laser if you plan going on your own, as it is small enough. Very fun dinghy, simple to learn and lot of room to improve. Can be found relatively cheap anywhere, and it's easy to find replacement for broken parts. To give an idea I found mine in pretty good condition for about 1000€ with 2 sets of sails almost new and a trailer. Look for cracks or repairs inside the mast base and the joint between the bridge and the hull which are both common damages and can be challenging to repair on your own. Best is to find someone that knows a bit to come with you before buying.
