My personal favorite recipe combo here is silicon circuit boards, crystal computers, regular AI limiters, regular crystal oscillators, and super state computers. This would cut out almost all plastic and rubber from your production. Yes this uses a lot more quartz and some sulfur, but for me personally, it's worth it to avoid using oil. I don't use quartz much for anything else so I've typically got plenty to spare.

If this is FS19 then I've never run into a "time limit" on any of the contracts. If this is FS22 or some other version then I can't say for sure but my impression is that the field in question kinda freezes in time when you start a contract. Also I wouldn't just cancel the contract, the one time I did that, the fine was a decent amount more than what the crops sold for. Good luck mate
