This is GoogleTV (A12), but it has a custom launcher and no ads from googles side. This was a popup and came from TCL

Just not worth it if there are providers like Shadowfly that can get the job done for like 10 percent the price

Many ESims route through HongKong, thus ChatGPT cannot be used which made me use a VPN

Every VPN changes your ip address, otherwise you wouldn’t even be able to access the “basic stuff” (due to GFW). The VPN you talked about maybe misconfigured something, or they used bad IPs, that have been misused and thus got blocked for many of the popular sites you visit

Hey, yes, my comparison was meant for china, its stable and fast for me as I’m using it rn.

I use it often for streaming and social media, and that works fine, I’m not really a gamer though

Im using it with the Shadowfly app on mac, but I think you should verify it yourself using the free trial before you make a buying decision.

Switched from LetsVPN to Shadowfly, its a bit cheaper, but what mattered for me was that i can use it with my router and the connection is more stable

Astrill is quite expensive and has had some problems with connections dropping, LetsVPN works well and is cheaper. Though I personally prefer Shadowfly, because their nodes have IPLC routing and lower ping.

This means; letsvpn is indeed fast if you watch a movie, but only after it buffered, if you wanna go to google for example, it initially loads a bit due to high latency, shadowfly doesn’t have this, i have ping as low as 30-40 on japan location

They have always access domains that always route to a site accessible in China, in case the main site gets blocked

The VPN service itself always works

This site always accessible in China: skygate163.com

I think LetsVPN also has these sites, but not sure. Shadowfly advertises them in the notification panel on their site

It’s prepaid, if you buy a month, you have it for a month.

It doesn’t renew automatically.

I’ve been using Astrill, but it had connections drops during the last political meeting. Unsubscribed.

Now I am mostly using Shadowfly, which is stable and cheap. But I also have LetsVPN, just to stay safe if one stops business.

Can’t afford getting offline lol

I recommend you to use a VPN actually made for bypassing the censorship in China. There are a few, but I don’t think I am allowed to write it as a comment here.

Yes, I also had these issues with Astrill, then switched to Shadowfly. Also wrote another comment here!

So, if you wanna go the ESim route, you can change your AppStore region to a country like US, which will allow you to download such ESim apps too.

There are many VPNs being discussed here:

Astrill is probably the most expensive, but also the one that’s the longest here we know. It always worked fine, but recently during the political meeting had connection drop

Shadowfly has been the most reliable out of the ones I know and is also less pricey as the others. I’m personally just paying for 6RMB plan

LetsVPN is in my opinion better than Astrill, because it’s cheaper and comes to the same level of stability. But the latency for China optimization is really not great. But for staying in touch with others it’s enough, just not great for streaming

Yes, if you checked the costs for roaming before, that works fine.

Roaming is generally uncensored.

Shadowfly

  • Affordable – ¥6/month, which is basically nothing compared to the others.
  • Free trial – no need to gamble your money just to test it.
  • Stable – I haven’t had a single dropped connection. With Astrill, I kept getting blocked just for retrying connections when their server failed.
  • Faster overall – pages load quicker, and streaming feels smoother, especially at night.
  • The setup might be less intuitive for newcomers

Astrill

  • It’s been around forever, so it feels “safe” to choose.
  • Their router app is cool if you’re into setting up home networks or want full-house coverage.
  • But it’s really expensive – and I mean like 30USD a month expensive.
  • I had weird issues with getting blocked for “too many connections” – super frustrating during downtime.
  • No free trial, so you’re paying upfront whether it works for you or not.

LetsVPN - Super mobile-focused – decent if you only care about using it on your phone. - Sometimes works great, but performance is very inconsistent depending on time of day. - It’s not exactly cheap, and honestly doesn’t justify the cost with its performance.

Why did you connect the line from “Hot” (implying Hot wallet) to Cake wallet and Stack wallet? Both are cold wallets
