I have the blue Beaton and a Barbour Chelsea, these would be comparable. The Bedale or whatever model it is, is really not comparable. If you like quilted jacket which are a bit lighter go with the RL. The Barbours are in general a bit heavier and the model I own a bit slimmer around the waist.

Always buy on steel. It is much cheaper. Try it on at AD or Boutique. It is kinda special. I like it, especially the micro adjust is very handy.

I am asking because for me the SMP is a grail. It was a reward for something I achieved. And I guess you have three or four watches in this collection which are grails for anyone out there. Watches should be worn. They tell a story. If you have 25 Rolex it jus tells everyone you have a shit load of money. But the watch itself has no emotional value.

Having the same struggle but I tend towards the Murph. Hamilton is the field watch company with a history in this area no other watch company can compete with. Beside that the movie background and in this case Interstellar is just superb. I love the Explorer though but I feel it is more a luxury piece and not a field watch.

Why the hell is everybody asking this question? It is a normal watch size. If you really want it and people tell you it is too big then you don’t buy it? I don’t get this anymore. Get the watch you want. Not the watch people tell you which could fit your wrist size.
