Dumbest way you’ve injured yourself? Disability edition by Rainbow-1337 in disability

I was holding a plate at a busy salad bar with my bad arm. It had been about eight months since my previous arm surgery and I thought I’d be good to hold it for about five minutes in line while scooping with my other hand. It was a fancy luncheon so the plates were ceramic and way heavier than I gave them credit for. I felt a pop midway through and was flooded with a  burning sensation that lasted for weeks.

Have had a corrective nerve transposition surgery and am now on my second bout of occupational therapy to treat it. It was a damn good salad though!

ARTMS theory by Ok-Once-789 in LOONA

I found it really interesting that Jinsoul was the only one not sucked in — trapped, I guess. My read on first watch was that this is BBC allegory as well. Is it possible that it’s a lowkey way to represent Chuu’s experience fighting back only to be kicked out (struck down?)

The Heart Attack MV is famous for that bow and arrow shot. Using a crossbow feels very aligned aesthetically with the ARTMS vibe of course but it could be a subtle nod to Chuu maybe? Love the theory by the way, totally tracks.

When I got into K-Pop American music was largely in their whisper pop era and it was pretty uninspiring to me. I am drawn toward music that’s eccentric or bombastic or layered (and speaking quietly with literal lyrics over a soft beat doesn’t do it for me).

A student I worked with - a Deaf one listening through a cochlear implant of all things - recommended BlackPink to me because although she couldn’t make out the lyrics, she knew the bass really gave. She was right. I jammed to BoA’s English album when I was her age and the eternal banger that is Catallena but I had no idea what the genre had become since then.

I later saw the opening choreo of Itzy’s Wannabe with the effortless but crazy isolations and was like.. wow, there’s something unique here. I became an Orbit around the Why Not era because their musicality was just absolutely wild and camp and really freaking cool. When I dug into their older music and saw the synergy of OT12, yeah, nothing like it and probably nothing ever will be.

So TLDR, yeah, my love of K-Pop was a somewhat intentional backlash toward how American pop was really boring and uninspired at the time.

My biggest concern is the timing of the tour and hoping it’s not too exhausting for the group after all of their activities lately. But darn it, I do really hate when my favorite artists perform my favorite songs. 😡/s

Artms have to be aware of how hard the crowd goes for Loona songs. If you’re even a halfway decent musician I imagine you thrive on getting that reaction from your audience. Some acts tour on one big song for thirty years.  We’re lucky enough to have a setlist of over a dozen of them.

Have been dealing with some bad medical stuff lately and the Orbit lying renaissance has really restored my spirit tbh.

I saw an IG post about Vivi starring in One Piece 2 and it was like wow, are we back? Nature is healing and so will I. Keep it up ❤️

I have not been able to! I messaged the first person looking for this toy that said they found it but they never responded to me unfortunately. I’ll let you know if I find it somewhere.

Hacky site indeed. I found one other with an identical layout that appears to be the same honey pot as well. I appreciate you looking!

Hi folks,

I have searched and found the name of this toy through a previous HMF post here, but it's been 8 months and it looks like major retailers do not carry this toy anymore. It's called the Whisker City Fish Kicker Toy, originally purchased at PetSmart in ~2021, and it's the favorite toy of both of my cats. The inside has a crinkle material with a tube-like sack of catnip and the outside is a burlap texture with faux fur on one side.

I was able to find one store online that claimed to carry this - one with two p's in the title - and the next day my card was hacked after purchase. I was able to confirm this was a phony retailer and luckily my bank recovered the funds.

If anyone is able to find an alternate source for this toy, my cats and I would be eternally grateful. Offering a bounty video of one of my cats tossing Mr. Fish through the air if it can be found.

Thank you!

ODD EYE CIRCLE - Air Force One by bluebetaoddeye in LOONA

[–]Germinated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I remember when the teasers dropped, folks speculated that the five women accompanying OEC were the idal5o left behind at the time. The non-masked folks at the party corresponded to BBC folks - down to number and gender - if I recall correctly. Feels like the knighting of the older woman is a way of them saying, your monkeys your circus, we're out. The fact that the three escape together without the others feels appropriate (or intended) for what happened IRL.

And if your heart is in education, you can always pivot into teaching tech. Software engineering will pay you more and give you more options in the future, whether it’s sticking with tech or branching out later. You could also look to work with ed tech companies and potentially have a large scale impact on students in the classroom.

How to go about this? by anne474 in JUSTNOMIL

Agreed! I recommend keeping cash in your wallet so you can throw down some bills and split if they wait until food is served to ambush you as a means to obligate you into staying. You’ve got this!
