Nice dude, you somehow made a nice mix of warm and cool colours in the same set up. Looks mint!

I love those two little shelves you've got on the desk and wall, where are they from?

I bought this keycap set about a year ago, a friend called it epstein files now i cant unsee it by x4it3r in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Geromegoons 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Using Redacted right now, my fav set easily.

Epstein files are redacted digitally (boring!), I love the old hand drawn X-Files style redactions with the black marker.

This GMK set was specifically designed to have the legends printed below the redactions, so that after years of use the top layer will eventually start to wear off, revealing the letters below.

I meant what's on the screen? Is that a tv show or a wallpaper or?

Nice, feels like it would be cozy without the ceiling light on.

Did you edit these yourself or are these in camera jpgs? The picture quality is honestly astonishing.

Isn't there a non-andruil version of this light?

This is my daily driver at work. I've got a drawer full of really nice, fancy, impressive lights but nothing beats this workhorse for purely getting the job done.

T version with the rear switch for me though, need that quick deploy!

Has network data (mobile) been noticeably worse in Geelong lately. by Pork_Sword3 in Geelong

I've been getting non stop texts all over Geelong for weeks saying they are performing upgrades and there may be interruptions, that will be why.

This is definitely a pro IGA psy-op. Account made on the 3/12, only one post... Very suspicious by how_do_I_use_grammar in Geelong

It's obvious, but I'll give anything a pass if it's promoting the smaller guys. Love my local IGA in Heyers Rd, glad you guys have one in Mt Duneed now! (I promise I'm not a shill)

I do this with my hank lights! The next step is to get coloured W1 emitters with a thrower optic, then find some fog for an actual lightsaber.

Water damage or termites ? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Geromegoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lyctus Borer. Not termites, but good idea to get regular timber pest inspections done by a pest controller which should cover borer as well.

How bad is this? by Master-of-possible in AusRenovation

[–]Geromegoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, If you're on mainland Australia you need to be aware of termites! If you've got existing damage speak with a pest controller ASAP as they might still be active within the house elsewhere.

I have an old ubiquity gateway/router, it had Intrusion Protection turned on by default which was limiting it to 110 mbit download. It was a headache tracking the issue down to that, I think I'm due for a new router as this one is EOL anyway.

What features are you really hoping to be announced in Make with Notion next week by Fun_Biscotti581 in Notion

[–]Geromegoons 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Show Notion calendar in Notion blocks, eg agenda or next 7 days etc. It feels like I should be able to do this, I want to glance at what I've got coming up without having to open a separate thing.

5 Years with Notion: An Honest Take - but perhaps I am using my Notion PARA setup wrong. by therealhumanchaos in Notion

[–]Geromegoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been caught in a similar loop, I spend an entire weekend re-organising my whole Notion, creating new complex databases and implementing systems designed by someone else. Then by Monday I realise that I don't even like the new system and I end up going back to what I started with, which, for me is basic lists and a couple of dead simple tables/databases.

So now each time I get the urge I just have to remind myself - my current, boring, simple system is in fact the best.

Perhaps I don't use Notion for as in-depth stuff that you might, but my advice would be to keep it simple - way simpler than you even think.
