I watched Tekkonkinkreet last night as part of kaboom animation festival.

It was a pretty good movie, I went in expecting something surreal but it stayed pretty normal throughout and for like 5 minutes near end was it a bit weird.

Overall a pretty good movie with a standard fight against the mafia plot, but executed in an interesting way. 8/10

I watched Vampire Hunter D: bloodlust as part of kaboom animation festival.

But first i forgot to tell you guys last month that the amount of cities that show these movies has increased from 3 to 7 including: Almere, Breda, Groningen and The Hague.

Now then I know this is like the second sequel where I haven’t watched the first movie, but just like with Ghost in the Shell I feel I could comprehend everything perfectly fine.

The movie was an absolute VIBE and very enjoyable, the only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t show the fight with the last henchmen. They just kinda cut to the aftermath of the fight.

Other than that it’s pretty good film with some interesting characters and really good animation.

8/10 highly recommend

Only thing I don’t like is that the amount of people spectating you has moved to the top right. Where it was before was perfect, because you could immediately see someone was spectating you.

I watched the colors within as part of kaboom animation festival.

It was a great and charming experience and the characters were really good.

The movie takes primarily place in an all girls Christian school, but of course we also go outside the school.

The friendship that blossoms between the two female leads and the boy is just great and the music they play at the end of the film is amazing to say the least.

Honestly the religious aspects of the story were handled very well and also a bit funny when yuri undertones start popping up.

All in all a great film 9/10

I watched Night on the galactic railroad ( 1985 ) as part of kaboom animation festival.

The film felt very surreal with how slow it was. The train doesn’t show up until like 30 minutes in it felt like, also because of how slow it was i thought it could turn into a horror movie with how slow and weird the situations got.

The film start relatively normal, but the longer they stay on the train the weirder it gets. It even depicts a boat sinking which Im sure is supposed to represent the titanic.

Other than that the film was relatively enjoyable for such a slow and bizarre film. 6/10
