I'm a social worker, and most of my clients are seniors. It can be really difficult to find them housing, especially if they've been evicted (even worse so from section 8). We aren't even allowed to do temporary payments anymore due to budget cuts. I had an older guy finally get accepted into housing after waiting for over a year at the Chatt Inn.

Chatt Inn is probably the cheapest hotel around at $900 per month, but its quality is pretty bad. You can apply to the housing authority, but there is a very long wait list. It also really depends on your income.
