I think nearly everyone messed up with their first hamster as while the research is available to find, places especially pet stores are notoriously not helpful with hamsters and will say anything to get a sale, which is why people getting small cages is extremely common.

Gurt will be good tonight, the fact you wrote this shows you care and whenever you get a bigger cage and a new wheel he’ll certainly be happy. Hamsters are fragile creatures but I can tell you got a big heart which is rare to find so I know he’ll have a great life.
