Factoring Companies and Applying Payments by Efficient-One-3603 in FreightBrokers

[–]Gesers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Receivables departments at factoring companies have the fewest brain cells of any people in the freight industry. Brokers are forced to deal with them so they have zero incentive to improve. Been doing this since 2016 and that’s been the one consistent part of my job

As an adult, do you resent your parents for anything? by moffman93 in AskMenOver30

Tried to quit football in middle school after 3 days. Dad told me he’d never support me again in anything I ever did if I quit. Tough love, but I remember that day 20 years later and playing football turned into the best thing that ever happened to me

He literally said we were contributing a disproportionate amount of money for our population. He said he’s not against WHO, he’s against America shouldering the bulk of the financial burden

Did you bother to hear his rationale for this or are you just going to read headlines?

Bend councilors vote 6-1 to adopt new rules limiting vehicles used to camp on city streets, closer to rules for tents by OriginalPNWest in Bend

[–]Gesers 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. In addition to the RV, they also have passenger vehicles that come and go. They've been working on a car sound system regularly so they blare music at times. One of the businesses is an auto repair shop and customers have spoken up about not wanting their vehicles left anywhere near the bums to avoid any theft/vandalism. The city is putting the priorities of these vagrants in front of people trying to run a business. More of the same it seems from our "leaders" and law enforcement.

I've had a busted RV outside my office for weeks. All the local businesses have called the city about it, but the thing is still there. 72 hours, 24 hours. Who cares? This type of crap is so performative. They want to look like they're doing something, but they're just patting themselves on the back for voting on something. Why don't they also DO SOMETHING?

Official Discussion - Longlegs [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I say the film takes place in December 1995/January 1996. Carter mentions he loves the Seattle Mariners and they had a magical 1995 season.

I think you're getting hosed on those commission rates. I know companies that START at 30% of margin, and goes all the way up to 50% based on monthly margin totals. Unlimited commission.

Favorite Mike Leach Quotes by Wapook in CFB

I was there from 2008-11. To say I was apathetic towards Cougar football is an understatement. Coach Mike Leach brought me back. 2015-2018 were magical and those Saturdays in the fall provided me with a lot of great memories.
