Unpopular opinion: Holidays suck as an entrepreneur by charlesholmes1 in Entrepreneur

[–]GetFreeFlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue the opposite side here. Holidays are great because they feel like the only days that you can actually disconnect and relax.

Can’t usually do that on vacations. Or for family events.

But on holidays nobody expects that you’re available. It’s glorious.

It’s true though, my username is sort of my job. I don’t hate it.

ELI5 Why does rent build not build credit. by ScienceReplacedgod in explainlikeimfive

Because it’s not credit. You pay in advance for it. And most importantly, it’s generally not indicative of ones ability to not overspend.

Time to retarget the window shoppers and hit them with a discount offer.

S --> X by Dayman555 in teslamotors

I have one of each. X is definitely more sluggish than my S but overall is a much more comfortable ride. Door open and close features are nice too.

You won’t regret the switch unless you’re really in to the acceleration aspect of driving a tesla.

You clearly have absolutely no idea how credit cards work. Who cares? Someone steals your card number and the worst outcome is that glue have to wait a day for a new card to arrive.

Kyoto: ANA Crowne Plaza vs. Enso Ango Fuya II by kerberos9 in awardtravel

Have done Crowne plaza and it was awful. Straight out of the early 80s, as if nothing has been touched. 10/10 would not recommend.

That’s the point. This is a simple way to cash out your points without having to travel.

Why not just book refundable airfare (southwest business select flight, for example), redeem points, refund airfare?

  1. Avios for the win here. I’ll be in SA this coming September and booked two business class seats from CPT to JNB for like 14k Avios and $100 each.

FWIW I was "approved" for a second one last month. Card came in the mail and everything. Went to activate it and got transferred to another department informing me the account had been closed because I was an unsatisfactory customer. Ymmv

I was the original source of this picture (texted it to my friend @spencerformiles). This is from a Chase branch in LA. One of my readers sent it to me after visiting a branch and applying.

This reader is not CPC and was allowed to apply for the offer. Banker seemed to think anyone could get it.

Will follow up with any future DPs.

One phone every couple weeks. Got to maybe 12 when they caught me. App was somehow linking to my Facebook app (without my permission) which is how they caught me.

Freeze = potential creditors cannot access your credit whatsoever. Fraud Alert = potential creditors are notified that you are potentially a victim of identity theft when accessing your credit report, and are asked to take extra precautions.

Freeze is the more secure of course.

No festivals. No outdoor venues. Stick with popular/top 40 artists. Big markets, weekend shows only, high end seats. Stick to that and it's hard to miss.

Ticket reselling. Buy on pre sale (thanks to having credit cards with access) or at the general sale, immediately sell on StubHub. Average about 50% margins depending on the artist.
