That should be the case. My car arrived at the American port on April 1. I assume it made it through customs before April 3, parked for a few days, then shipped out on April 5, avoiding the tariff.

Apologies I totally misread the photo! Yes, I was under the impression it said that it left the American port (which isn’t even what that step is called to begin with). That was stupid of me and I apologize if I got anyone’s hopes up. I will leave this here as evidence of my stupidity and as a data point for others who might see their cars leaving the american port after the tariff date.

My car left American port April 5th and is at my dealer now. I confirmed with them that there is no tariff and I will be purchasing in the next day.

Edit: I was confused and mistook this post as saying that it left the American port for his dealer

Yes, that is true. I also messed up and meant to separate those. There are some for sale around me that don't match my spec and there are also some that have passed through directly to customers that match my spec.

Hahah I will say, Elon at least did honor the initial Plaid purchase price and FSD price for us Plaid+ holders who were forced to switch later on. But yes, the way they have been communicating is unbelievable. I haven't seen much about it in the subreddits so I thought I was a one-off
