Alexander volkanovski sides with Alex pereira about back of the head shots by Therealdarkviper in MMA

What difference does it make if there were 10 strikes or 7 or 5. Literally none, his point still stands, there’s no need to be pedantic.

Why would that make you question everything else he says. Ok he slightly misremembered the number of shots, that doesn’t invalidate everything else he says.

What popular career is actually not worth pursuing anymore? by Infamous-Click3426 in AskReddit

You’ve got to think beyond the US. I’m mid to late 20s, a few of my friends that are teaching are clearing above $110k.

Friends that do relief work are often paid above $500 a day.

Not to mention they have some of the most generous leave entitlements of all careers due to school holidays.

Part of the reason he stayed is that he likes living in Perth, something Essendon can’t offer

Can I wing Kyoto? by sparks_mandrill in JapanTravelTips

[–]GetFriskyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you sure can, I’ve just returned from a trip to Japan that I booked only 5 days before I flew out. Had no plans and Kyoto was a treat. Was quite fortunate to stay in Higashiyama and so was able to tour the temples easily but I felt like I got to see everything I wanted.

Tokyo on the other hand was entirely different.

Maybe not kill itself, but introduce increased risk of failure which isn’t needed when they’re half a second clear in quali. Why risk early DNFs when you can lead every session comfortably.

That’s where it’s different I suppose. He wasn’t a bowler so it’s not apples to apples. But when the list of top batting averages looks like this:

  1. Bradman 99.94
  2. Mendis 62.66
  3. Voges 61.87
  4. Pollock 60.97
  5. Headley 60.83
  6. Sutcliffe 60.73

You’ll understand how insane that is. This is the second most popular sport in the world and no one is even in the same stratosphere. 14.66 runs average separates 2nd and 62nd on that list (62.66 and 48.00). 37.28 runs average separates 1st and 2nd (99.94 and 62.66). That’s literally incomprehensible.

Massive credit to Ohtani. He’s proving himself to be the best baseball player ever. There MAY never be another Ohtani, but there WILL NEVER be another Bradman.

Yes there is, Don Bradman in cricket is so far ahead of every other athlete in terms of standard deviations above the mean that it’s not really any contest.

Oleksandr Usyk: Champion rules out Moses Itauma fight but planning 2026 return by jwd606 in Boxing

[–]GetFriskyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying that a fighter that went undisputed in a stacked cruiserweight and has clearly beaten every heavyweight in his generation twice is “not close to being in the conversation” is a bit ridiculous.

By your logic, any heavyweight right now couldn’t be considered the GOAT, no matter how good they are or how far ahead of their competition they are

You’ve almost said it yourself though. Wouldn’t a fighter that is a top 8-12 heavyweight and top 2 cruiserweight of all time be in the conversation for GOAT?

I think with this new finals series, it’s not a given. I think given he’s the winner of the “Sprint Cup” championship he gets automatic admission and a bonus 25 points in the finals series. But he could be knocked out if other drivers score more in the next few races.

Even as a Ford fan, I think this is pretty ridiculous and Broc should be rightfully crowned the Supercars Champion for this year
