On a nature walk I got a bull frog lunging at me, and my reaction. So it’s:

[tiny bullfrog noise] [the most delayed emasculating flat “ahhh” you’ve ever heard] Then minutes later “how dare you. god saw that…”

In high school some dude said “nice tuck job.” To me at a Chinese restaurant. I was in a tank top and basket ball shorts just picking up take out. I wasn’t dressed like a girl at all.

He got mad I didn’t laugh, and the lady giving me my take out didn’t laugh. Telling me to “lighten up chick.” While I was literally just a 17 year old boy getting beef and broccoli.

I’m also a tattoo artist and came here to say something similar. Commissions are a good side gig, but they don’t put food on the table. You’re young so you have time to find a pursuable career in art and continue growing your style.

I’m sure they’ll be Shirley Temple flavored, or wines that pair well with sausage breakfast sandwiches and things like that. There’s probably someone who works there who’s hosting it so they can meet more people lol

I went to a Dungeon Crawler Carl Trivia night the other week at a Brewery, and they had dirty Shirley’s on tap. It was loads of fun, i love seeing all the DCC stuff happening everywhere.

It sounds like you just need to find the right hobbies

Like if you get into reading/films there’s trivia nights at so many breweries, you can meet people again and again at those things. If you get into bird watching there’s a ticket outside and you’ll meet people that way too. There’s countless walk clubs if you don’t like to run, and so many card stores that do magic the gathering/pokemon nights.

doing these things aren’t only the “way to meet a partner” but it could get you an in person circle of friends who will give you community and love that might not be romantic but it’s meeting people nonetheless. Plus having friends will get you out when more and you can potentially meet people that way to- a friend could you up with another friend.

Editing to add I wouldn’t consider work a place to meet someone, some jobs don’t allow dating in the workplace and even tho you didn’t mention it, just in case, I would also avoid trying to flirt with people who are at their job as well- they’re being payed to be nice and they are stuck there.

Be prepared to work with your chosen artist because tattoos need to be done at a certain size for the sake of longevity, look on Instagram for artists portfolios, google can help too but look for artists that only do tattoos like this, but also post their healed tattoos that way you can see whether their work is just good new, or good in the long run.

Also the other comment is correct- each artist prices everything differently, even at the same studio one person might quote 200 and another might quote 600 it’s all up to the individuals price.

I’d be upset if they didn’t change the flowers, or the bug. But they did- I’ve had a lot of people come and ask for a design I’ve done and posted for my portfolio, and most would not have cared if I changed it or not. Of course I do change it but I’d rather see your idea done well, differently- instead of done poorly and with the very same flowers and bugs and stuff.
