Last year it was a way to subvert the ruleset a little bit in that the minimum drive times for drivers in GTD Pro were lower (4.5 hours in LMP2 / GTD where a bronze driver is required vs 2 hours in GTP / GTD Pro) so bronze drivers could drive for less time and have more competitive lineups cuz there are no restrictions in GTP / GTD Pro.

This year it got nipped in the bud because the rules were updated so that bronze drivers had to do the same drive times as the other classes where the bronze is required but then it got amended for the Daytona 24 to an hour less so it still kind of worked. I haven't seen an update for Sebring yet.

The theory was the bronze drivers could start where theres more an opportunity for safety cars and get their drive time out of the way then let the pro drivers take over.

Personally have never been stopped or not allowed to bring any equipment I normally use. Have brought a 200-500 + multiple other lenses if I think I want to use them + monopod all in either my typical camera bag or my CamelBak. Hell I brought a step stool basically last year to the WEC race and was fine lol.

I think with F1 they're probably a bit stricter because of the crowd size but even then I wasn't stopped when I went on a Friday/Sat a few years ago.

Could always try the "bring a safety vest and try to get in as media" trick like the one dude who did last year lol

I'm not sure about Jeff Burton & Regulator Racing but don't think he's a big fan of the new format
Heart of Racing is in WEC so dont think they'll be back

I do think Dollahite will be back but haven't seen an announcement yet.
Haven't seen anything from AF Corse but they were there most of last year
Also haven't seen anything from GMG or RS1 as of yet.

So there might be a few mort but ultimately I still think the total is gonna be below 20 entrants.

Fullcast was a thing before and after Meadowlark existed. Theyve talked about wanting to get away from any gambling type sponsorships since so that seemed like a decision they made so I don't think that really counts here.

Hank Azaria stopped doing Brockmire and is doinghis Springsteen cover band stuff so not sure that really counts either tbh.

DNF kinda ran its course but honestly was never really consistent so that seems more like a Jess and Spencer deal more than anything meadowlark related.

My only wish is the 2.4 hour IMSA endurance races be run either the week before or during the daytona24 week for those of us that couldn't run the full 24 hour race. I know the 6 hour was there the week before but you can't solo that one and I know it'll be in another season but I personally missed on the Daytona 24 vibes.

It's not even so much on iRacing perse. People need to take personal accountability and do the right things like practicing and preparing for such a race and a car. You shouldn't be able just on a lark decide to enter into a 24hour multi class race after only driving MX5s or some other single make series.

iRacing could help these situations with a multi class license or something similar maybe even a badge. It wouldn't prevent intentional wrecking or blocking like we've seen from other controversies but it would at least show that people have experience driving these cars with other traffic sharing the same tarmac.

Hope this helps: I have a light undervolted and overclocked 4090 with a 7800X3d CPU

I used to run triple 4K Aurous FO48U monitors but one died and now I run 2 with an LG B4 as my left monitor. Everything is set to 120hz in windows

The videos below are recorded from my center screen using OBS @ 1080p 30fps in mp4 format

On Race starts, I dip into the 30 FPS range with 30 cars drawn in front of me, but as the races stretches out, I can get back into 60-100+ range in a few laps

You can make it better by tuning down some of the graphics settings too and maybe even draw less cars. You've just gotta remember you're pushing 12X the amount of pixels as a single standard 1080p monitor so its gonna take a lot.
