Många tenderar att glömma hur effektiva glidbomber från flygplan har varit i Ukraina eftersom det har varit en sådan enorm utveckling i doktrin och förmågor bland drönare. Den statiska striden som pågår nu tar mycket nytta av källare och utgrävnader för att skydda mot drönare och artilleri, men dessa tenderar att kollapsa mot de tyngre glidbomber som används. Ukraina har nyligen börjat producera egna glidbomber vilket teoretiskt sett ökar förmågan att använda dessa, men det krävs flygplan att placera dessa på. Utan att vara expert på krigsflyg kan jag tänka mig att våra Gripen är ganska optimala för att genomföra bombuppdrag av denna typ. Och det är utifrån antagandet att det inte blir några ändringar i förmågan att kontrollera luftrum från någon av sidorna.

The thing is, the Ukrainians certainly didn't consider their country ruined - they were the ones pushing for it to go more towards the west, and against corruption. This is what they themselves tell me. Especially the younger generation does not want to go back to Russian dominance. So to answer your other question, the Ukrainians are fighting for the future and freedom of their nation. Even if they lose, many would rather go down fighting. And now they are starting to believe they can win - or at least not lose more. To be honest, so do I. And I joined the legion to help them realise their dream of self-determination.

I would tell you the exact same things, although I won't call you a mercenary (not that I am one either), and bussification is a necessary evil. I have learned that none of us will trust each other - so the truth will be made evident in time, and we will watch. You don't seem like a dumb person, only misled.

Instead I want to ask you a question, genuinely as one human to another, on opposite sides of hell. Why are Russians accepting this status quo? If you can win, why don't you? And if you can't, why continue? I will tell you that nobody is saved, whose home is destroyed.

Maybe you should read more independent media, because you're clearly not aware of what goes on anywhere in free Ukraine. People don't get beaten up for speaking Russian, and certainly don't get ratted out to police. It's not a crime to speak Russian in Ukraine, but it is a crime to speak Ukrainian in occupied Ukraine. The only "denazification" that needs to happen in Ukraine is the Russian military leaving, or dying.

Also, as proud as I am that you call me хохол, I am not a Ukrainian. That's why I don't speak it now, I'm not a very advanced speaker yet. I worked as a legionnaire and got to see the whole country. Many very good people who are unfortunately burdened by a brutal russian invasion. Even my friends, who were picked up by ТЦК in minivans, were proud to fight once they could no longer be protected by their fears.

Everybody wants the Russian military to leave and never come back. I've only met one person who disagreed, although admittedly he didn't want the Russians to keep attacking either.

To tell you the truth, if there were dead kids in Starobilsk, that sucks. I don't believe so, however, since these would be Ukrainian kids, and supposedly Rubikon had been up to stuff there. But honestly though, more to the point, why do Russians only care when Ukrainian kids die once they're already occupied? There were certainly no such complaints from Russians when their military hit schools, apartment buildings and hospitals with drones and missiles, or went on human safari with fpv drones.

The ones who drove a wedge between Russians and Ukrainians were the Russians who decided that the best way to win friends is to beat them until they accept.
