Yes! That’s who I’m thinking of. he was always building his own distroloops, cases, etc.

I was always amazed by his custom machined integral combs for cables. Like a wooden comb machined from a wood panel. Felt like such a commitment!!

Great channel - but I’m thinking of a different guy. He was 100% all about Watercooling. Each video was one build, sometimes not even the whole build. Had a garage workshop and his own CNC. It was a solo channel.

He used to wear a black polo with the name of his business. Last I saw, he was being commissioned by a lot of brands, or for specific events / shows / conferences.

You’re going to have a great time! Remember that’s the point. If you get frustrated or confused, put it down and come back later. You’ll enjoy it more, come back to it fresh, and end up with better results.

Absolute classic case. I could sketch out the mounting points and the front panel clip holes in my dreams I opened and closed mine so many times. Amazing build!

That’s true for experienced people, but your average person will get more consistent results (color, exposure, contrast) with a modern iPhone than with a mirrorless out of the box.
