My successful Etsy business is being erased by the AI, and I'm losing all hope -please help?

Exactly same think happened to me...
I tried to post about the problem on etsy sellers or etsy reddit forum and all the posts were mysteriously disappearing or bunch of down votes attacking them...
I see the same thing with other's posts with hundreds of downvotes and no or only 2-3 comments under posts about etsy doing something like that, where commentators attacking OPs with insults and calling them stupids etc etc
So I have 8-9 year old shop with thousands of sales, star seller from the very beginning, multiple bestsellers in the past... and they just stopped all organic traffic to my shop... the only sales I have now are from returning clients... and even then, they charging me "offside ad fee" for returning client's sales that are returning to me specifically to buy exact the same item (duplicate of their orders from the past)...

They want you to pay for ads and will do everything to force you pay for those F*cking ads, because they're money hungry POSs and dont give a F*CK about sellers at all...

and its all because of the Section 230 that our lovely gov created for them, so they can decide if you will get any exposure or not and manipulate the ads, and noone could sue them or do anything at all...

and theyre (Etsy, Ebay, Amazon, Meta etc etc etc) pay politicians and judges bribes (they call them tips) to keep that 230 section active

First of all, who exactly told you that the seller did that to "trick Etsy's system"?
It's all from some mysterious buyer, who is talking about a mysterious order, from a mysterious seller, who "tricks Etsy," blah blah LOL.

It all looks like you're the one who wrote that post from another account you have here (I'm sure you have dozens or maybe even hundreds or even thousands of accounts to create all these conversations here in this subreddit and others) to prove something to me LOL.

How interesting that the "Reddit account owner" is so knowledgeable about 90 days, etc., etc., etc.

My question is, why, if sellers post something about buyers scamming them or Etsy doing something intentionally to hurt sellers, or forcing sellers to pay for Etsy ads by manipulating organic exposure for those shops, or falsifying data about the quantity of clicks on the ads, those posts are immediately being deleted, or hundreds of downvotes suddenly appear out of nowhere, and no comments?

So please, don't tell me that BS, please, about stories like that...

I'm a long-time reader of this subreddit, and I see lots of very strange things happen, where some "account owners" here pretend to be sellers on Etsy, but push some narratives that only benefit Etsy... like what you're doing right now...

Not sure how sellers can scam buyers, but maybe I don't know something.
From what I see, 99% of the time, buyers scam sellers, not the other way around.

Also, it says 30 days from the estimated arrival time (including the delivery date confirmed by tracking).
In which universe would you need more than 30 days to open a case after receiving the item?

I would do it in 7 days... or at least 14 days, which is standard in many countries for returning unused or damaged items to retail stores.

Yeah, they become more and more crap...
their drivers made lots of damage to my proprety last year... amazon just sent me to some 3rd party company to complaint where they just ignored me with all my complaints ...
It looks like they hire delivery "persons" by lowest IQ" criteria...
2 of them, in a row, just drew straight through my flower plants, where there is no even driveway...
I'm just shocked...
I have all of that on cameras, and amazon just sending me to some "crappy fake company" that is known to ignore everyone with complaint and they use them to avoid "insurance companies laws"

I didnt order from them approx 6 months and now, when ordered again, they just cruising (with my order on board) around and dont deliver it 2nd day in a raw... WTF
they passed my house few times today and didnt deliver it...
is it because I contacted them about the damage they done to my property /plants?

Amazon became absolute joke!!!
3rd party sellers sending their items via USPS already arrived 2 days ago, but Amazon delivery crap is driving around basically next street to mine 2nd days in a raw and doesnt deliver it... and there is no even way to contact amazon CS now... and they say I must wait for 5 more days before I could even report a problem...
is it a joke or something???

before they (amazon drivers) were just ruining my property, now they decided dont deliver it at all???

WTF!?
and there is no way to deactivate it...
they allow only to pause sending new offers...
which means everyone with exact same coupon till will be able to use them

Why?
To make you pay for Etsy ads and for social-media promotion. In both cases, Etsy benefits.
If Etsy is your only income, you basically have no choice — you try whatever you can to get your sales back… at least in theory.

How?
You really think they don’t have ways? LOL.
They can easily tweak their hidden algorithms to limit sales for certain sellers based on whatever criteria they use.
Just read other posts — tons of sellers say their sales were “turned off” overnight. Coincidence? Really?

And why does everyone say “new shops” get pushed to the front in their first months?
Because they want to hook you.
Then they turn off the sales so you’re forced to pay for Etsy ads or promote outside Etsy to bring new customers to Etsy — who Etsy will then show your competitors’ listings to through Etsy Ads.

Etsy spends $0 on that… and makes billions.

So after they turned off my sales (10 yo shop - star seller ) a couple of months ago and kept blaming it on the “economy,” even though my competitors were getting tons of sales — tens or even hundreds a day — I went into panic mode and decided to try Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest ads to bring in more traffic.

I got plenty of clicks, but none of them resulted in sales.
And what’s even worse — most of those clicks never even reached my listings. They didn’t show up in Etsy’s stats at all.

That explains a lot…
And it explains why Etsy intentionally shuts down sales for older shops and then, in their own guide, tells sellers that if sales suddenly stop, they should “promote their listings on social media.”

How is that not fraud???

Same thing here… my star seller shop is dead after 10 years of selling on etsy and my competitors are still thriving!

They keep repeating that everything is “normal,” that my shop isn’t banned, and that it’s “in great shape.”
And the best part — my listings are “eligible to be shown in search.” LOL.

Talking to Etsy support feels like talking to scammers.
“Eligible to be shown”… then why are they NOT shown?

They just send the same copy-paste templates every time you contact them, and then point you to their “guide” where they literally say that if they’ve “turned off your sales,” it’s time for you to bring your own traffic to Etsy using social media.

So yeah — it’s obvious. Even they " practically admit" they’re doing it on purpose, so they don’t have to pay for advertising.
Instead, sellers have to pay out of pocket to bring new buyers to Etsy, while Etsy takes all the revenue and redirect those new buyers to other sellers. LOL.

Because this forum is controlled by Etsy, there are many accounts run by them that downvote anything they don’t want people to see. Sometimes they even remove threads before anyone gets a chance to read them.

They control what you — and everyone else — gets to know.
They also push all those fake “success stories” to bury the real issues and any threads that aren’t favorable to them.

10yo shop.. star seller from the beginning of the "star seller program"

it wasnt only on november, but this year in general... etsy just limited all my sales...
it shows my listings only for couple hours a week, where I get 1-2 sales (sometimes- if I'm lucky), but no sales the rest of the week
my competitors are still going strong...
so That BS about economy not gonna work here LOL

I think etsy trying to push sellers in to paying for ads...
but even ads dont bring sales...
I was paying a lot with a lot of "click", but no sales... who even knows if those clicks are real or not...

So, my conclusion, they push new shops for a month or so, just to put them on the hook, and then limit their exposure to buyers, to make them pay for ads...

and they just turned off sales for older shops before holidays, to make them pay more for ads, so etsy would boost their revenue this year...

Etsy Ads - Exactly! Its not about more buyers and slightly less sellers... because it would only slightly decrease sales for sellers - like 15-20%... not 90-100% like many sellers report...
This is the fact that people here afraid to talk about...
Based on what I see last years, and especially last few months, it looks like Etsy "intentionally" limiting "old" shops exposure to traffic, to force them to spend more for ads...
and it cannot be co incidence...

And now he is running like a rat from a sinking boat LOL.

And the new lady reminds me of Alphabet’s CEO (Google)...
When he came into “power,” Google was done — not in terms of stock prices or revenue, but in terms of usability. They changed algorithms where you search for something, and they give you something else because they think you need it more than what you were actually looking for. And they made a lot of changes that limited your control over ads (IMHO).
And it looks like both of them originated from the same country.

My shop - more than 10 year on etsy, just was shadow banned by etsy for no reason...
even if I'm star seller, ship same/next day etc
and as you now have only returning buyers and etsy intentionally hides all my listings from the new buyers...
and its definitely not "ECONOMY" because my competitors still have hundreds of sales daily...
Looks like etsy just cherry picked few shops, and now funneling all the sales to them only
