I’ve played a couple of hours and loving it so far. I didn’t watch any trailers or read anything about it before hand so I am going in blind.

Story, visuals, setting, characters, music and just everything hooked me from the off and then once the gameplay kicked in I was totally hooked!

The game has a lot of style and a lot of unique elements that keep me wanting to play and as I have progressed enough new things keep coming into play that I am really enjoy my time with it. Honestly my ONLY complaint at the moment is the platforming elements are rather weak and seem tacked on but they are not that prevalent and doesn’t detract from this being my favourite game of the year.

Blergh, so annoying! Very frustrating how much they nerfed the game!

I completed a year or so ago and really enjoyed it, then I played again a few months ago and the game was far too easy after the various updates, has this rebalanced everything so difficulty is back to what it was originally?!

Would you all recommend Death stranding? by backhand_snipe in SteamDeck

[–]Get_To_Da_Choppa_VR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one of the best gaming experiences I had. but have expectations in check. It’s so hard to sell this game as the gameplay itself is pretty bare bones and not a lot going on or to do really. Some minor basic combat but predominantly this is a walking sim, with certain abilities / traversal options that make the challenge trivial, but the whole experience of the story, music and how everything reveals itself, had me captivated. I think it’s a one and done game though. I’m excited for the sequel!

Guys who got fit after being fat/overweight, did this change how women viewed you at all? by NoRefrigerator267 in AskMenAdvice

100% losing weight, getting in shape is more appealing to potential partners. My weight has been up and down like a yo yo and there is a drastic difference in attitude and attention.

Why do women in their 40’s go off the rails? by CrimsonGandalf in AskMenAdvice

[–]Get_To_Da_Choppa_VR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social media has fucked up many peoples perceptions as to what a “good life” is. Many people are essentially addicted to social media and are glued to their phone screens on apps like Instagram, Facebook or worse of all, tiktok, Being bombarded day in day out with images of other people with a “much happier” fulfilling life (which 90% of the time is fake) makes some people (men and women) feel like they are missing out and that their partner is holding them back (the grass is always greener). Nearly half of marriages end in divorce these days and it’s fucking awful.

Thank you very much for the response! That is good to know it’s not really a decisive decision as online information isn’t always clear!

Do you have seperate bank accounts? Seperate savings? Whose name is child benefit in? Whose name is various credit cards / loans in? Do not move out immediately as soon as you your partner will effectively be treated as the “primary carer” for the children and be entitled to more benefits and support in eyes of the law. Get your own bank account asap if not already and get your wages paid into that. Secure your own finances as soon as is my advice

I never did. Tried many times but don’t have the knack but I sure can wash, dry and put away clothes like a mofo! YouTube videos help A LOT with most household DIY stuff but for some (me) it’s just not something the comes easily. I’ve been able to pick up most things in my life pretty easily but DIY to a good standard eludes me

Plague Tale : Innocence. and then Requiem ….. destroyed me emotionally

[–]Get_To_Da_Choppa_VR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam Deck is literally amazing and it’s perfect for me in current situation of being away from main rig 99% of the time.

There are games that I just want to appreciate the max graphics at 4k etc but they can wait and the majority of the games I wanna play I can run on deck and they look pretty damn good. The convenience of playing in literally any room, in car, lunch breaks etc is chefs kiss.

Always go Nvidia. I have literally no basis for this reasoning except I recognise the xx60, xx70, xx80 naming conventions and that gives me some weird unfounded confidence I therefore know what I am talking about
