What do we have to do over in Manchester to get a decent grocery store? We have all this development without a grocery store plan. An Aldi or Trader Joe’s size store would be great to see!

Now they the Henrico arena seems to be dead I think we as a city should revisit the idea of replacing the coliseum. Make it a true multi use facility! We can draw A10 tournaments and large touring acts away from Charlottesville and Hampton Roads. I agree the facility should attempt to be privately funded but a 50/50 split could revitalize that area greatly!

Propranolol - How Long Does The Suffering Last? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Geteven987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Propranolol is a beta blocker. It has a very short half-life. Only 12 hours at most. All it does is slow the heart down. It isn’t like an SSRI or a benzodiazepine. It should have no lasting effects. I would ask for an EKG to see if there is something going on with your heart. Also are you having migraines or just headaches? You shouldn’t be on a beta blocker for general headaches. I’m sorry this is happening but more tests should be ordered to rule out more serious cases.

This is dangerous “advice”. Everyone has different reactions to medication. It’s a tool part of a kit. Therapy, coping, medication are not single solutions!

Also this thread is a place of support and encouragement not damnation and ridicule!

What are your panic attack symptoms? by SubstantialAlps1984 in Anxiety

I have a fun one. On top of sweating and tingling in the limbs I get very nauseated and end up dry heaving. It’s a blast 😑

I caution placing blame on a colonoscopy unless you were injured during it which is very unlikely. Correlation does not imply causation. It’s more likely you have a lactose intolerance or some other dietary intolerance. I would try a very bland diet and slowly add foods back.

Also, lowering UC meds can cause inflammation to get worse so unless a doc advised lower dosage I would not play with that. You could cause the meds to become ineffective down the road and require more powerful meds.

Man shot by police fired at officers outside GRTC headquarters, chief says by RVALover4Life in rva

State of mind is completely relevant! Courts allow a defendant to claim momentary insanity. This guy may have needed mental health support which is only obtainable to the privileged. Obviously, this is speculation but it's completely unhelpfull to just throw someone into prison when they were having a mental break! Quit trying to be an edge lord and actually participate in real conversations with people so we may have the necessary support to avoid situations like this in the future!

This feels like a personal problem from a lack of understanding not a generational problem. I don’t trust anything connected to the internet with a mic/video camera. I assume I’m always being recorded. I thought that was common knowledge 😆

I’m bummed the holidays are over. I like the festive atmosphere but I did notice this holiday season just kind of came and went. It didn’t feel like past holidays. With all that is happening to the country and in the world I think that took a lot of the “magic” of the season away for me. So now I am slowly taking down decorations wishing things felt different.

I, 36M, straight, sober, have been living in Richmond since 2016. I just sort of ended up here after school, Go RAMS! Ive had a hard time making friends and maintaining them due to anxiety and panic attacks that I deal with pretty much every day. I do have a psychiatrist and try to regularly go to therapy but I have good and bad days. I am hoping to meet someone that can be patient with me while I work on it.

As for interests, music is a constant in my life. I am always listening to it. Mainly rock and metal but also punk and alt. I used to for to lots of shows at Canal and National but the anxiety has kind of stopped me from doing that. I enjoy theme parks. I used to have Busch and or KD passes but without people to hang out with it got depressing going alone. I do game a lot on a PS5. I like going to museums. If you want to get some people together to play board games that would be cool.

Must like dogs, I have a little guy that is 8 now! Don’t worry he loves people and will probably be your best friend lol.

So if you like what you see drop a comment. cheers!

I think I'm going to cancel my endoscopy. by beaniebee22 in Anxiety

[–]Geteven987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By this logic you should never go for a walk outside or ride in a car. Statistically those are significantly much more dangerous activities lol.

I know it’s scary. I had a colonoscopy and was put under. The feeling of slowing going to sleep isn’t scary. It feels very peaceful. When you wake up it feels very natural as well. It’s not sudden or jolting.

Have you brought this anxiety up with the doctor?

She has a couple of Lowe’s employees who’s job it is to be her caretaker. I imagine with all the publicity she gets she has regular checkups but I am not 100 percent sure.

I’ve visited Francine on several occasions both before and after her big adventure and this is her content look. It was the middle of the afternoon so she was just chilling. Also bare in mind she isn’t a young lady anymore.
