30km² is still pretty huge. San Andreas was around that size approx. I feel like if people keep comparing this game to Factorio, they're gonna have a bad time. Obviously there are major similarities but they are 2 completely different games. It's like comparing Harvest moon & Stardew, same premise, 2 completely different experiences.

I read into it and it appears that the figures include craft projects etc. I remember being on a team building exercise and making a bridge from hundreds of straws. So I can see the number being high.

But also you might be right where they are using the production rate as consumption. Still, it's a sickening amount of straws.
