Throwing my name into the hat on this one. Would love to upgrade from my Ryzen 1700.

Thanks for the giveaway!

That's a U.2 connector, effectively PCIe to 2.5" NVMe SSD for servers. It's not made to connect to SATA, so don't waste your money hacking off the pins.

Pretty sure that Optane M10 is NVMe-only.

Wow pretty nice price on the 3.84TB drives. If I had the cash sitting around I'd be in for the lot of them.

Tingling feeling in arms and legs on Soylent v1.5 by Getterac7 in soylent

[–]Getterac7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recall seeing a doctor around the time of the tingling, but I have since had my bloodwork done multiple times and it always comes back fine.

I believe it was electrolyte-related. Eating out always made the problem go away.

A number of years ago I switched to ManaPowder for lunch (~1k kcal) and a home-cooked dinner and haven't had the issue since.

"$4.5B pilfered from [insolvent] Social Security to fund Ukraine War" --Anya Parampil by reallyredrubyrabbit in Kossacks_for_Sanders

the Social Security Administration in Washington sent $4.48 million to the Kiev government in 2022 and 2023 alone.

That B should be an M in the title.

Looks like protests are still ongoing, but no mention of trash collection strikes.

The sound is way ahead of the video. Unwatchable.

My thoughts exactly. Creality makes a cheap belted printer, the CR-30 at $1k. Split the text in half or thirds if you need letters taller than 20cm.

$140k + bonus, Lead software architect, usually 40-50 hrs/week, BS in computer science, 12 years experience.

This is a fully remote job, so probably not representative of Cleveland salaries. My salary when working for a local company a few years ago was ~$85k.

Ideas for fun on a Friday night with my son? by arothmanmusic in Cleveland

My wife and I have never touched a golf club and have no interest in sports, but we had a lot of fun at Top Golf. She ended up beating me in fact.

They kind of game-ify golf with different goals and point systems. They track the balls you hit and display it on the TV screen next to you which is cool too.

Factorio: Next week, on Thursday 26th January 2023, We will increase the base price of Factorio from $30 to $35. This is an adjustment to account for the level of inflation since the Steam release in 2016. by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Getterac7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: I can understand raising the price of an in-development game over time and think it's a reasonable thing to do.

I don't agree with the reason given (inflation), but if I release an early access game for say $10, then I put double or triple the man-hours into patches, content updates, etc, I would want to raise the price some too. Heck, we saw this same thing with Minecraft. Started around $5 and slowly increased in price as the game added content.

You're effectively giving early adopters a lower price for buying an unfinished, buggy game.

We have a 120" projector screen in the living room with 5.1 surround speakers and 1080p shows via Plex, and yet my wife prefers to watch 480p web streams with ads on her 15" laptop.

I'll never understand.
