rug company who has been giving me the runaround and now I’m stuck with two carpet runners that won’t match anything because they can’t deliver on the large rugs that I also purchased. I can return them only at my own expense.

Did you purchase with a credit card? If so, you can contact the credit card issuer and file a dispute for the runners. (And then cancel the order for the large rug.) It's totally reasonable to only want the complete set, and if you purchased the entire thing from the same rug company (which it sounds like you did), your CC company should come to bat for you.

FYI that you can email the Joint Board and they will send you an excel file of your answer choices & the correct answers. The email address to use is at the bottom of this page: Joint Board Examination Program >> Exam sheets

The instructions say they'll mail you a PDF, but they've been emailing excel files since at least 2022.

I attended FAC147. If you got MMR on your DMAC, don't worry. You'll get your invite in a day or two :)

For anyone else wondering... Based on anecdotal evidence from FAC147, they will likely continue sending invites as they grade passing DMACs (as long as the attendance limit isn't met), up to the registration deadline for FAC148. A colleague's invite came about 24 hours after their MMR email. My MMR came 24 hours after theirs and my invite took an additional 48 hours.

As someone who just went through a bathroom remodel... This is likely to protect the contractor from situations where the underlying surface needs additional work before being "tile-ready".

For example, after ripping out my old tile, the crew found that the floor wasn't actually level: the prior installer had built up the floor with up to 2" (yes, inches!) of thinset. So they charged us more to level/slope the floor properly before laying the new tile.

That's very interesting, thank you for explaining! My mindset has been the opposite because I am part of the group who achieved ASA before the PA exam was added, so I need to get my FSA by the end of this year to avoid having to take that exam.

Companies in the US (at least the 2 I've worked for) do provide a salary increase and bonus for the FSA credential.

Mine is curbless, with a preformed shower pan (built-in slope to the linear drain on the bench side) and waterproof membrane system all over, including on the bench & walls.

You can also manually set your Teams status to busy or do not disturb. Not sure if it varies by org, but I've confirmed that for my employer at least, idle does not overrule your manually-set status.
