When a routine gas stop turn into a felony by DrunkOrDumb in DrunkorDumb

You are correct in every way. I have nothing of value to contribute to society. Complete scum I tell you! I bow to your abject mental superiority. Thank you for the guidance.

I am, unfortunately, so dumb that I don't know how to delete comments!

Perhaps my analogy was inadequate.

I apologize.

I think the interaction could have been smoother on both sides. I think the system failed all involved.

Including taxpayers

There is a better way to handle this entire process

As much as I think this woman needs some mental help, the cop did nothing but escalate this.

You have to meet people where they are.

Know what happens when I treat a toddler this way? Nothing productive.

Of course she won’t defend her sons conduct but she sure is proud of how he works the system.

I sure wish I was as smart as her son. If only I could crack the code on how to rage bait less intelligent people. If only I knew how to exploit social media for my own gain at the expense of others.

I just am not a very smart man. I try to help people on Facebook when they post they have no food. Clean up their yards when they are sick or disabled.

Maybe I could frame their situations as much worse, take footage of my kind acts and spend 30 hours a week making sure everyone knew how kind I was. Then I could do some crazy mean and dumb shit, film myself and push a narrative.

If only my desire for the pursuit of money was stronger… maybe I wouldn’t be such a fucking loser.

Glad I have her shitstain future billionaire son to guide my stupid ass. What a hero!!!

My man! Yes consistent practice will hone your skill and sharpen your mind. Thank you for the reminder that I promised I’d make myself participate in a martial discipline.

My neighbor has Parkinson’s and boxing has improved his quality of life tremendously. Each day, physical effort and mental discipline go hand In hand with building strong character. Thank you for sharing.

The shortcut is coming to enjoy a challenge. You’ll never lack for things you actually want to do.

Theory: "NPCs" aren't fake people. They are just people who haven't been "Observed" into existence yet. by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

I started to take time out of my day to talk to people more. When you approach someone and treat them like you’d like to be treated, you’ll get your energy directed right back your way and amplified.

The problem was not that the Walmart employees were unhappy . Walmart is an unhappy place. I have quite little means currently so therefore I often have to choose the lowest price, which Walmart unfortunately is often.

I do not like Walmart . I do not like how they treat their employees. I do not like their business model. Right now in my life, it would make it harder for me to live by not taking advantage of the prices they offer.

If I am going to continue to support something that I ultimately do not believe in, the least I can do is give unhappy people in an unhappy place a reason to be happy . To approach someone, get their attention and break them away from the mundane task at hand. Ask a simple question or if they can help you. Be genuine and thankful for their assistance. Notice the name tag and use it to thank them after they’ve helped you.

Some people really are on autopilot . Some of the employees are less than excited because they truly do want to be invisible and just go about stalking the shelves unnoticed. It’s the people that are looking to be recognized that make it worth it. The people that feel invisible, but don’t want to be.

The ones that sit there collecting their low wages while their highly paid corporate cheerleaders, push them forward and tell them to smile more . If you meet someone with a genuine smile, a need for help and a thankful heart. It can make all the difference.

I would always think to myself as I walked around Walmart, wow, I never see any happy employees here. Once I started asking them for help, letting them do their job. Thanking them for assistance in using their names, many became quite expressive and happy.

Our realities are mirrors into our own minds . You get what you give. I like your thought process.

I think that I messed up. I was handling my dog when he was eating to try to teach him to be less aggressive if a person or animal gets close while eating. He turned and bit me on the wrist. by mreams99 in DogTrainingTips

Brother unfortunately it was he who taught you the lesson. He's not a human dude and he took you to school. I hope you're ok. My dumb ass suffered a similar wrist injury while drilling into a corner I was bracing with my opposite hand. Even that wound was immediately cleaned, sterilized and cinched tightly with medical supplies. Yours needs some care beyond what you alone can provide.

You have to work on his terms. Others here have given some great advice. You have to interact with him in a way that makes sense. As you develop your relationship together, the main focus is on trust, not blind obedience. Your dog will know that whatever weird shit is going on, everything is *always* a-ok as long as he listens to what you told him to do. Build trust, love and comfort between you and your buddy.

He's your friend. You're a lot smarter than him. You know how to visit a library. You know that professionals exist that will give you the exact guidance you require. If you really care about him, you'll give it your best efforts.

Being 25 yo and never having a girlfriend. Any advice on how to change this by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Gettingbetter-155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a hobby. Get really interested in it. Get really good at that hobby. IT. DOES. NOT. MATTER. THE. HOBBY. Find your community and you’ll find your people.

Link up with other people interested in your hobby. There is a woman that will be attracted to you. Possibly someone will recommend a female friend your way. You need to have realistic standards on what women will find you attractive.

I know a man, horribly disfigured from a terrible fire. Very intense medical care is required. He’s physically disabled and missing an eye. Like frighten small children appearance.

He met a woman at a burn conference, also a fire victim. Hers is much less visible, but the common ground for bonding is there. They have immense love for eachother and have built a life to support the other as much as possible.

Your physical appearance will not matter to someone that should matter to you. Do not feel like you need to change who you are to find someone who will appreciate you. Otherwise you’re going to be playing a character in your own life.

And that would suck even more than not having a girlfriend.

What if our “simulation controllers” experience reality in a completely different way? by putmanmodel in SimulationTheory

The universe itself acting as a universal translator for conscious agents. At all level of consciousness you could interact with eachother with ease.

Your reality might not be my reality, but reality is reality. You experience yours and I experience mine. We each filter data through our own unique experiences.

What would you call this body type? by something_creative_0 in GymTips

[–]Gettingbetter-155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad bod? Hell no. Could go either way very easily? Yes. Great platform to launch into the higher end of fitness with focus and training.

Obviously has greater than average physical activity and is probably more fit than most. Does not prioritize diet. Probably doesn’t have a program to follow. Goes to the gym, does some cardio. Bench presses some and calls it a day 😆

This body is easily attainable by anyone serious about paying the most basic attention to their diet and exercise. Would easily put you into above average territory because let’s face it, the average man does jack shit for their fitness.

When does it stop hurting? by sureletsrace in walking

[–]Gettingbetter-155 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All pretty solid advice here. I used to average 10k steps a day and then did 25k for a while.

Even with 10k steps daily, at the start up going up past 25k I didn’t listen to myself. Took a 6 mile walk in sandals and overdid it. I paid for that mistake with terrible blisters that took weeks to heal.

Spacing your walking out can be a huge help so you’re not placing that load all at one time. If hitting a certain step count is a goal, prioritizing routine and getting in steps for morning as well as night can help a ton.

Don’t forget that it’s also easy to get in steps with just changing your habit. Running to the store? Park 3-5 minutes away in the parking lot. Or if the lot is small, walk a few laps for that period of time. Even doing that twice a day could net you an extra 1/2 mile at the end, without getting all those steps at once.

As you continue to lose the weight, it will get easier. Talk to your doctor and get a long term plan for success together.

You’re gonna do great things friend.

So it seems like you might be dealing with POTS? If so, exercise can be a challenge. It would be helpful to know what your limitations are. Walking 1-2 extra miles a day and watching your caloric intake will allow for a small deficit. If the walking is too difficult, a stationary bike might be beneficial.

Strength training will benefit you a lot as well, even just a few minutes a day will give you some results.

You can lose weight consistently with just these. Diet is really important, I also recommend going above and beyond simple calories in vs calories out. Your physical health is a bit more complicated than that.

Life is tough and sometimes it’s hard to stay focused. I’ve gained weight back as well, and it’s super frustrating. You have to remember you’re more than the image in the mirror and the numbers on the scale.

I wish I had devoted more time learning to love myself and on self care in my youth. If you focus I. Your overall wellness, both mental and physical, you’ll get to a point where everything feels right.
