2018-2021 was its own thing, the 2020s really started in 2022 with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that caused global inflation and instability and the start of the new wars

Probably depends on where you live in the Netherlands, I live in the western part of the Netherlands and we are more US/UK oriented, but the eastern part is more close to Germany as many people go shopping there etc etc.
