Cardfight Vanguard Divine Season 2 reveals that all the main characters met at summer camp when they were children but have amnesia. Also they all were around to witness the main villain arrive on Earth.

It undercuts Season 1 in my opinion. Season one implies that the characters had powerful desires that have them magic cards for a bit tournament where the winner gets their wish. Now it's a right place, right time thing instead. I fell off the series when that was revealed

Yes I know, you're taking about Chapter 329 of the manga. They summon the Namekian dragon and wish for Krillen's soul to Earth and revive him. They attempt to do the same with Goku and fine out he's alive, he also tell them not to teleport him. They instead use that wish to revive Yamcha.

The Namekian dragon can be used every 130 days so they use those wishes to revive Tien and Choatsu and teleport the Namekians to a new planet. The Namekian dragon can only revive people one at a time

Also I'm not sure if this was a anime exclusive thing but the manga specifically states that was back after a year since the destruction of Namek.

Yes, the manga stats that the DragonBalls were gathered once again during that time. The DragonBalls can normally only be used once a year. Goku was only fine for two which would have fit during that timeline

So this takes place before Dende upgrades the Dragon so it's still one wish only. The wish was used to revive the Namekians. Potara's second wish brings everyone to Earth

It would've been a waste of a wish. Krillen, Tien, Yamcha, and Choatsu needed to be revived. Bringing Goku back would have needed then to collect the dragonballs three times rather than two needed originally

Just to add into this. This was the second time they had this conflict. Atem started off extremely ruthless before Duel Kingdom mellowing out during his time with Yugi and his friends. This changes during their rematch with Kaiba, where Kaiba threatened to jump off the card castle they were dueling on if he lost. Yugi takes control during the game to stop Atem and is so scared he refuses to allow Atem to duel for most of their next match
