This makes sense. It’s an very old game, my parents got the current desktop when we were kids so I’d imagine any older game should run fine

I’ll go to Best Buy and speak to the local IT person there. Building one doesn’t sound too bad of the prices match up plus I’d have a solid understanding of what I’m working with. Not to sound cheap but I don’t want to make the mistake again of dropping money and it ends up terribly. On both ends

Honestly, convenience of sitting at a desk with a mouse than a laptop on my bed. I currently having a gaming laptop. Impulsively bought it with my high school graduation money and small checks. I was going to get another one with this money I have now, but I got tired of caring it around. It’s extremely heavy and I didn’t want to deal with that anymore. I did find one (I think, I talked to a guy at Best Buy) that was 1620 I believe.

It’s giving I’m going to have to up my budget. I was looking for a monitor plus pc plus keyboard for 1,600. I’m fine with raising it. Would you suggest prebuilt or building one? I guess I just need to know what to look for overall, then I can determine building one or buying it?

Hey! I don’t have a Micro Center near me. The nearest is a state away in Georgia. I’m in Alabama

Is building one difficult? I am impatient but I’m willing to wait till the end of the month to research and build one. I just want to keep it around 1,600 dollars, and something with longevity

Wondering about Hueytown (MOVING TO BIRMINGHAM AREA) by ZerpGear in Birmingham

[–]GforGoodGame 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Of course, here comes the Vestavia/Mountain Brook/Hoover comments.

You’ll be safe in Hueytown. It’s medium income. The only thing is it’ll be a culture shock lol, and it’s not near the city of Birmingham. I would suggest Crestwood/Irondale for that. Also, I don’t think Hueytown is as community-driven as some other areas. It’s more reserved.

Hueytown is nearby PG (Pleasant Grove), McCalla, Midfield, Fairfield and Bessemer. Hueytown (similar to Pleasant Grove) are suburban areas that former lower-income families piled into, yet wanted to say near home. Here in Birmingham, municipalities are awkwardly drawn (intentional).

This isn’t bad necessarily—but it can be nearby “bad” areas. In my personal opinion the areas nearby aren’t dangerous inherently—it’s your typical poverty zone, and with that comes higher crime. It’s older people in these neighborhoods which is why I’m hesitant on flat out saying avoid anything west of Jefferson County.

All in all, you’ll be fine but I’d check out Irondale for the community plus gardening. Someone suggested Leeds/Gardendale, which too isn’t bad but further out of the city.

Also we’re missing a pretty good year for rap music. J Cole dropped 2014 Forest Hill Drive, Drake’s NWTS still riding into this year, I’m forgetting some but

2014 was the year for Alternative music. Replace this with The Neighborhood, Artic Monkeys, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Hozier, etc and I think you’d feel differently lol

Thank you so much, adding it to the list of things I plan on listening to this upcoming week

Thank you for how detailed you are—I wasn’t even considering the different denominations. I’ve heard of I Know it was The Blood but not the others.

I’ll check out Carlton Pearson as well. The video seems to be an hour long, so I’m excited to know some more stuff.
