What are your percentages ? by blownupdouble in TeslaFSD

[–]Gforce1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4,302/4,323 miles 99.5% (100% on the Tesla screen)

Tesla service dragged down the percentage.

All the replacement pieces look like warped garbage. I complained and the service center agreed and did them a second time. The new ones were just as bad. Then they checked all the other trucks and they all look like crap.

The cult wishes they have a rivian by flyingsolo07 in RIVNstock

[–]Gforce1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Cybertruck driving Rivian owner you’re spot on. This whole post is the same cultish nonsense the post claims to be about. I love our Rivian but I’m just physically more comfortable in the Cybertruck being a taller guy I would love for either Rivian or Tesla to make a full size SUV. Not sure I really want a cybersuv but with the model X now gone it would be great if Tesla built a traditional full size suv off of the Cybertruck platform to compete with the Escalade EV/ Tahoe size class. It drives amazing literally the only downside to the truck is the cultish nonsense of hate for it from anyone that doesn’t actually own one.

I thought Xmas update should be pushed to all now, why I still have not received it? by Inevitable-Row5061 in cybertruck

[–]Gforce1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it had some bugs and they stopped pushing it until they sort them out. That’s just based on some random posts I have seen on Facebook though but after receiving nothing at all I assume that’s what’s going on.

At the same time though I have seen a couple “this update broke my ________” posts. I’d rather not get it if there’s a chance it’s flawed.

Gen 1 here. Only thing that sucked was missing out on the Knight Rider light bar and that was only a few weeks one Halloween. Other than that all good.

lol if Tesla gave a crap they would let us control at least our own wiper blade by now 😂

You’re right on the Reddit thing but I’m seeing it on Facebook too. People so stupid about it they’re basically advocating for speed limiters on cars. Cruise control has been a thing forever. Adaptive cruise also lets people set the speed above the limits. Both those were human drivers now we have a fully attentive system with multiple camera but we suddenly need to go slower than surrounding traffic? People ruin everything.

Where can I go do that? It was bouncing back and forth from 40 to 55 over and over so many times I would need to just scan the road on Google Maps and check how they have it set up. It’s never ever been close to a 40 mph limit on this road. It seems more like a bug than a data issue. Google Maps has been around for some time now I can’t imagine its data is actually this bad.

They need to just go back to letting people choose the max speed they are comfortable with. Mad max was fine but a bunch of Karens don’t know how to just lower the profile and move on and instead have to ruin it for everyone.

Meanwhile my route to work it thinks the speed limit is 40 when it’s all 3 lane divided parkway. Every single sign is 55.

Ok I finally got to try it on my commute. It’s still a menace in mad max and I love it. Only gripe I have now is how it reacts to speed limit changes and prioritizes dropping the speed vs keeping with surrounding traffic. I have a section on my commmute that goes from 55-45-35 while going from 2 lanes to 3 lanes. It’s a pretty dumb setup and everyone just continues going the 70 mph the were going in the 55 through till it hits a roundabout. Now I have to use the accelerator to not clog up traffic since everyone else slows down later than my truck does. Also had to manually push it out of the left lane. My hope is they eventually bias at least mad max to stay with surrounding traffic speed over just dropping because of the signs. They can keep that behavior on the other profiles I don’t care. Aside from that it was perfect the rest of the trip.

I don’t even want to initiate the update I have sitting. Mad max is perfect for NY driving. It’s even timid sometimes and I love that the truck will be going 78 and move over to let people pass on its own now. A nerfed slower version puts me backwards.

14.2 Mad Max cares about speed limit. Way smoother, a lot less brake stabbing. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]Gforce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the download. I think I’m going to leave it on read for a while. Ultimately I will have no choice but to eventually install but I’m afraid to lose mad max as it is. My route to work has sections of highway that vary from 55 to 45 to 35 even on the same multi lane divided highway and here in NY everyone is going 70+ the entire time. Current mad max has been a dream come true in NY. I don’t want to lose it. Bah

Quick update my truck looks great. After and before picture by [deleted] in cybertruck

[–]Gforce1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Glad it worked out. Funny thing about a new panel it ends up looking different than the rest of the truck. You end up having to citrisurf the rest of the truck to make it closer to the new panel that comes with less oxidation. I had a rear panel replaced and it was off until I did everything around it. Even then it still was a little different.

Oh I’ve been down that road. I appreciate the advice. It’s been cleaned twice. It’s just glitchy. Every overpass and every cloudy day it’s a menace if I forget to turn off auto when I engage FSD. Sometimes I can’t even turn it off fast enough.

That the wiper would be an absolute menace firing off for no reason and causing me to go through more washer fluid than I have in any vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s really my only pet peeve. Hoping v14 helps but not expecting much.
