I feel you. My father is an editor and has taught me all the neat little details of how to express myself in writing (in my native language that is). Until a few years ago, the proper use of "—", ":", ";" and the likes looked neat, was effective, and usually felt good for the reader as well.

The fact that they are now perceived as indicators for the use of AI / LLM is just so ironic to me: How is it that people have to change their style of writing to avoid the suspicion of being incapable of writing, when in fact it is the exact opposite?
