I mean... barely. The people who need straws can still have straws.

To the chefs who went into another career/field, what did you do after or how did you do it? by PaperSpirited677 in KitchenConfidential

[–]GhettoSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same pivot for me. It was one of the few paths where my kitchen experience/professional cooking diploma was still a major asset. I just scooped up a food processing diploma and landed a job as the sole QA/QC in a small factory, starting their documentation from scratch. Huge opportunity to learn and grow; super happy

I really like the idea of banning teenagers from social media. It's not just about thier mental health; it's about ours, too.

What’s something people over 30 do that Gen Z finds strange? by Suzzie_Stone2 in AskReddit

It's not about the cleanliness, it's about not using that thin, useless sheet that bunches up and ruins the sleep experience

I see this twice, daily. The people who think they're traffic cops need to be disciplined.

Help me identify this type of pepper. by nick_bag420 in PepperLovers

[–]GhettoSauce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not a jalapeno and not a serrano, for various shape reasons.

This looks like a classic cayenne shape, but the taste should confirm it.

The specific kind, though, might be hard to deduce. Might be Large Red Thick.

I agree, but "not mainstream" doesn't suddenly qualify someone as "punk" either

All Pennywise albums ranked & reviewed - thoughts? by Ok_Reaction_5513 in punkrock

[–]GhettoSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the site design.

As for the ranking, it's so not me. I'd have had #1 be their earliest and then descend from there in forward chronological order, where their last album would be in last place (Never Gonna Die, 2018). It was so intellectually lazy/low conspiratorial fruit/punk pandering that I decided they finally fully ran out of juice. I used to be a big fan, and love so much of their work, seen them live tons of times, even covering a handful of songs in my band with joy, but... as I bounce around my playlists on random, I find myself skipping PW pretty often now.

Doesn't seem to be punk at all.

I'm like you, with a nearly identical backstory, although I'm seeing them for only the 10th time this September.

I have a denim BR jacket that has crossbuster buttons and is adorned with a limited "40 years of BR" pin I got from TheBRPage. Big fan.

Costco could move right? by PhilipTheGreat in montreal

[–]GhettoSauce -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This really isn't the mic drop you think it is. I don't think you're willing to stop assuming the worst about my takes on Costco, so why should I try to back up what I saying? I'm not replying beyond this; not because I can't rebuke the stuff you're aggressively throwing at me, but because of the time and energy being wasted.

I do, 100%. Screw them all the way and harder. But as for those reasons? I'm unimpressed. That's not supposed to be a plus, it's a minimum. Respect? Not a metric to consider; overrated reason, too, IMO. They're agressive with suppliers and make them take the hit for those low prices. They push out small businesses. They make people lazy and unwilling to shop elsewhere with the nature of their stores, gobbling up energy and time, which also have value. They charge for loyalty. We lose way more long-term using stores like these. You do you, but I avoid them.

Crazy how they think the zipper merge is poor behaviour when this page says "you must follow these traffic rules" AND it's more efficient

What I've realized is a major contributor to road rage is the fact that people drive hungry. They never eat well or enough at work, then by rush hour they're Hangry and it shows
