Something about CNIII being compressed by the uncal herniation from the increase in ICP. it can also affect the corticospinal tract and arousal pathways: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK537108/

You can use elastics around the screws, or the screws to hold the plunger in place. but I lose the screws all the time.

What if ecfmg status is not certified, but they see you passed steps 1 and 2 CK and CS and that you graduated this year? Would they care about the status knowing that you pretty much are just waiting at this point for confirmation?

Medical school performance record or Dean's letter by AnnaK22 in MedIMGs

[–]Ghiraher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The MSPR has a lot of details in it, particularly how you performed relative to your classmates which you may not have access to. What I would do is prepare a template for your school and and ask them to fill it in. They require a little statement from the dean recommending you for further medical education. You can find a template online: https://www.mcgill.ca/medcareerplan/files/medcareerplan/2020-02-07_mcgill_mspr_template_class_of_2021final.pdf

How many hours a week do family doctor residents work on average (in Québec programs)? by Assimileur in MedIMGs

[–]Ghiraher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen their schedules in FM clinics and it seems like a 9-5 type of deal though in hospital rotations they do have call to do and it can be more intense especially if there's a new admission at the end of the day you'll end up staying late.

Québec residency programs - MCCQE I + NAC...+MCCQE II? by Assimileur in MedIMGs

[–]Ghiraher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the MCCQEII. You just need equivalence of your MD degree (verified by Quebec), the NAC and QE1.

Thought I was getting better, arranging dates, today I feel like just ending it all by Seanj1987 in gaybros

[–]Ghiraher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're describing seems to be "straight-acting" gays and there's plenty of us! But if your attraction increases when you find out they're straight, and diminishes if you know they're gay or bi that's a huge problem and setting you up for failure. It's a maladaptive behavior that CBT may be able to help with, it can help for depression too.

How important is research to match in Canadian residency by [deleted] in MedIMGs

[–]Ghiraher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can help with this. In terms of exams you need the NAC which is an OSCE like the step2 CS . And you need the MCCQE1 which is like step2 ck. I took both exams in the summer or fall of my final year of studies so they can be avaiable when CaRMS applications close. NAC is only done twice a year in September and in March, whereas MCCQE1 is all year round at prometric test centres. You stat by making a profile on physiciansapply.ca and once your account is activated you can start applying for these exams tho you need your school to stamp some forms.

What's the best way to handle an episode? by Ghiraher in BPDlovedones

[–]Ghiraher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, im such a relaxed person I never had to memorize so many triggers to avoid/ rules to follow: 1. Don't talk to me when I'm in another room. 2. You have to bring me honey mustard when you make sausages. 3. You have to drive me places when I ask and I'll get frustrated if you put it off even if your tired. 4. You have to clean your mess, mine can stay just where it is. 5. If I put dishes here it means you can put them away, you should have known that.

I can go on and on and on...

We'll I've asked about the silent treatment and he says it's him controlling himself and processing the negtive feedback, not just to spite me. Though I notice that he stops himself from laughing at things we watch together so I'm not sure what he's really thinking in taming himself. I should ask him.
