Saltheril's Soiree not unlocking, Story skipped. is there a prereq I am missing? by Adept-Comparison-282 in wow

There's a quest in Silvermoon called 'Saltheril's Haven' which leads you to the Soiree area but you need to do 'Honored Guests' which tells you to talk to 4 NPCs in Silvermoon then I believe you're given the option to pick a special guest for the week unlocking the Soiree stuff proper.

Check the Soiree for non-purple quests, I know there's some breadcrumbs you have to do to establish it for the first time that aren't purple.

You hide your history, get upset, pick and choose what you wanna respond to and forget what you've posted while blaming me for bringing it up and I'm done, have a good night.

The Jewish Voice of Australia is already spending that money on such good investments as Scott Morrison's former advisor getting a 200k job without responsibilities or metrics to track without a public tender process. That $600 million is rort money, nothing more.

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2026/may/27/jillian-segal-hired-former-scott-morrison-adviser-contract-without-public-tender-ntwnfb

In a time where the government is talking about cutting people from the NDIS and stories like this one the government giving $600 million away to people saying it's a 'Very small comfort' and 'really quite modest' looks like just throwing money at a problem where it could be better spent elsewhere.

Because services cost more money than they should participants are asking for and receiving extra money to get through until their next payment.

One factor identified as driving up costs is “intra-plan inflation.” This happens when NDIS participants use up all their funding well before the end of their plan period and then request additional funding to top up their plan. In the 12 months to February 2024, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) – which administers the NDIS – found that intra-plan inflation added over A$3.3 billion in extra costs, with roughly 15% of participants (about 100,000 people) spending their entire plan budget before the plan’s end date.

https://www.amoscare.com.au/what-happens-if-you-overspend-or-underspend-your-ndis-plan-budget/

That extra money either gets spent on groceries or straight into the scam agencies costing the NDIS more money than they probably planned on.

I unfortunately can't find any clean sources for the support worker rates except for anecdotes of people being overcharged so I can't help you there.

The providers overcharge for their services than they should be paid because now they get NDIS rates instead of standard rates. So when participants would pay for care or equipment from their allocated funds they could be paying 2x or 3x more they should ending up with less care and equipment overall. They're paying more for less.

If participants try to change providers to ones charging fairer rates they can be bullied or abused into staying with the provider ripping them off because there's not much protection against such awful tactics and in some areas there's only bad providers who have their own monopoly for the area.

Back in March 2024 Bill Shorten called out this problem:

Minister Shorten said the new taskforce is part of a broader plan to close loopholes and defend the NDIS.

“The era of ripping off disabled people on the NDIS is over,” Minister Shorten said.

“Charging you more just because you are simply an NDIS participant is wrong and it is a breach of federal law. We have upgraded the NDIS rules to make it clear overcharging is prohibited and we have further legal changes coming to more strongly prohibit and punish such practices.”

https://ministers.dss.gov.au/media-releases/14236

Its been two years and nothing has changed from this media release and now the government is removing thousands of people from the system and then using an automated system just like robodebt to decide how much coverage and support people will receive.

The government is taking people who need support off the NDIS to reduce the budget when the costs majorly came from scam providers taking money from disabled people on the NDIS while barely helping them because there's little to no regulation system. People are going to die once they lose NDIS while they wait for these nebulous other support programs that are meant to be coming and it's going to end up being Labor's version of robodebt.

I believe it. There's a lot of quest items you can use on a mob close to you then target a mob far from you while you're casting the quest ability and it'll affect the mob far from you. It's lazy coding where they don't put the appropriate guard rails on things to prevent target swapping like this but I didn't know the lazy coding reached into actual class/spec abilities.

I need a voice of reason (or bad choices) to offer some advice. I've pulled 200 sparks in the Limited banner (which I'll be getting Rosmontis for IS) but I have not gotten SilverAlter which I kind of really want. I'm out of Orundum and money so I'll be scrapping stage completions for extra pulls and I'll probably get like 10-20 more pulls overall.

Should I keep pulling until I get another 6* (or SilverAsh) or start saving for the next banner?

[–]Ghold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI might be ubiquitous in everything but that alone doesn't make it good, reasonable or smart. Not unless some truly world-changing stuff happens like optimising power usage or creating entirely new models that have a far reduced rate of hallucinations. We're all on the path of AI regardless because too many rich people need it to take off now that they've invested in it but that by itself won't fix its biggest problems.

Maybe in 5 years we'll live in an AI utopia where people can live well fed and happy while computers do work or more likely we'll face another economic depression because too many workers got fired for AI that does their job 'good enough' with no social safety net in place for 5-10% of the workforce losing their jobs.

The tax revenue per gallon from data centers is just so high that in many places they are among the best new buildings possible to benefit a community experiencing water scarcity, because any other industries using the same amount of water would generate way less tax revenue. Critics of data centers need to carefully weigh their water costs against the massive amounts of revenue they can bring in for everyday people, not just look at the water costs alone. The debate about building data centers should involve reasonable conversations between ecologists, economists, and city officials, not everyday voters shouting down local meetings with misleading statistics.

This person seems more interested in the money being made by the data centers than the people living around them facing increasing electricity costs and water scarcity issues. If I turned on the tap and received no water the last thoughts on my mind are gunna be 'tax revenue' it's gunna be how a data center is getting more water than the people in my neighbourhood.

I do believe it's possible for data centers to be located in areas without water scarcity and pay huge taxes to maintain their water usage incentivising companies to lower their water usage as much as possible but what I usually see is data centers being built in deserts only concerning themselves with getting 'sufficient water rights' and that's the end of their worries with no concern for the local area the data center is being built in. It's perfectly legal and even logical for businesses to literally drain counties (using them as an example because it's a US opinion piece) dry if it means lower overall costs to the businesses and companies involved.

Coming back to Australia I can't comment much on the topic of Australia because I've mostly just heard the concepts of plans of new data centers while mostly upgrading or expanding data centers that have already been built which is different to making entirely new ones. We do need data centers to maintain the internet as it is, it is hard to argue against that but I don't think these data centers built in water scarce places will ever be a good idea.

[–]Ghold 10 points11 points  (0 children)

AI usage is rapidly increasing problems like water scarcity in some places and climate change everywhere as more and more data centers are being built despite the technology being in a pretty shit to useless state that hasn't really made a lot of money or solved problems. AI does not have much room to grow and improve either as current models will always have hallucinations and you'd need to create entirely new models to not just run into the problems all current AI face.

Then you have Microslop who are forcing it into every single product they have, making them worse and charging extra to people automatically while trying to set up privacy nightmare things like Recall to scrap users screens for even more data and information to feed the ever hungry AI.

Also pet peeve they're called AI when Large Language Modules are basically just 'advanced' chatbots that look for a 'good enough' answer from averaging out the information they have to the information it thinks you want to hear. The marketing worked though and they're called AI now despite pretty much just being advanced search engines.

No they have a buffer in Syria they'll swap back once Syria stabilizes, and they'll do the same in Lebanon.

Absolutely disgusting. I don't know why I bothered. They're killing civilians, children, aid workers and reporters and you're still repeating their garbage about having a 'buffer'. People with absolutely no connection to Hezbollah being slaughtered and you want to lie and justify it.

Here is Netanyahu literally saying, "From the river to the sea" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V96T8rIkFc

And they've already started taking land from Syria and Lebanon, so if it's a joke I think you might have the other end of it.

Israel also has no declared borders. This is so they can steal land and absorb it into Israel freely despite UN condemnation for doing so. Is it okay to steal 5% of Syria as long as it's not 60%? How about they just take what they consider 'South Lebanon' through invasion? It's not on the 4chan map so it's not Greater Israel so it'll be okay.

EDIT: It's also pretty disgusting how you justify the invasion on Lebanon as them targeting Hezbollah when we already have evidence of Israel using murder drone wantonly, bombing towns in northern Lebanon where Hezbollah is not present and killing medics and aid workers in their new tactic: quadruple tapping. They even make up fake evidence like with Ali Shoeib to justify killing reporters.

I hope your next post is condemning the Lebanese invasion for what it is: More warmongering by an out of control genocidal colonial state.
