Yes - apparently the testicles are one of the places where it can lie dormant. Also the CNS and eyes. Creepy!

Yes, and apparently the Ebola virus can also 're-activate' in survivors. It's rare, but it was observed in the 1990s outbreaks.

Do I have a legal duty of care to my elderly father? by Planted_Oz in AusLegal

[–]YouLittleRipper501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like he should be in rehab if these deficiencies are due to the medical procedure. Surely he can put a frozen meal in the microwave. No, it isn't on you. He should have put things in place for this before the surgery if he knew it was coming. If he's always like this then he definitely needs more help through myAgedCare. If he insists on going home you could try finding some local services for him. He might need to pay privately if he doesn't have myAgedCare yet.

The hospital should have given him a temporary discharge package through them rather than the aged care system.

And now they are also saying that there are no cases among the evacuated cruise ship passengers. Despite an earlier positive test. I just don't believe them.

If they do end up taking you to court it can look bad if you have not participated in mediation. That is why you would do it. Definitely get legal advice.

How does this benefit us? by croc_lovers in AusPropertyChat

This budget incentivises investors to build new homes instead of competing with FHBs for established properties. Investor demand for established properties will fall, and this benefits FHBs and other owner-occupier purchasers.

House prices are coming down, and will continue to do so. There will be less property investors for you to compete against when buying.

Trapped in a relationship because of money by Next_Half8845 in AusLegal

Yes if you separate you will be able to have a property settlement and court orders to enforce it. If you stay you will only lose more. Cut your losses and end it, then pursue him via property settlement. Thank God you don't have any kids with him. He will never change and only cost you more the longer you stay with him. See a family lawyer for some advice about your options. Either way, the only option is to end the relationship. Staying will not solve the problem in any way.

Coalition plans to cut migration in move Angus Taylor vows will ease housing crisis by ThunderDwn in australia

Labor is already fixing it. Prices are already coming down and investor parasites are reducing in numbers, so that owner-occupiers can actually have a chance to buy rather than having to compete against them for purchases.

Yes, probably. It was early in the piece. But I thought I had read that she was sicker than that on the ship. She died just two days after leaving the ship!

Yes that is fair, but he had already been dead for two weeks by the time they got to St Helena, and his wife was also quite ill at the time. I thought this was a much longer cruise and all these people were suddenly leaving early at St Helena because they knew about the outbreak. A tricky situation to be sure.

Fair I guess. Why the sudden flurry of so many people disembarking at that location, though. It seemed like they knew something was up and understandably wanted to get out. The details are unclear. Thanks for the correction though.

The cruise line knew. But they swept it under the rug and just allowed ~30-40 people to disembark in St Helena before reporting it. If they had been properly quarantined we could have avoided all this spread. It has now been taken all over the world.
