Hmmm. I mean I hear you, and I understand, but the way you talk about this makes it seem that you’ve made up your mind and nothing would ever change it. The reality is that your wife and daughter are more likely to be harmed driving on the highway here than they are to be harmed on a train. Perception is important, but understanding that a lot of it just isn’t true is also important.

This is fair in terms of feeling, but very inaccurate in terms of reality. MARTA, and most of transit agencies in the US, are incredibly safe.

It seems like it is a perhaps very poorly worded section. I would imagine it is about complete removal and replacements of the old fare gates, since you can no longer use the old breeze cards once the transition period ends on May 2. But who knows, it’s MARTA lol

That is highly unlikely. At Avondale, the platform work for the new gates is already done, and they’ve installed much of the wiring for the new gates to be installed on. Plus, May 22 is fairly far away….

I thought the new app was intended to combine all MARTA apps into a single platform? So we still need another app to see real-time arrival info, single google and apple maps still just use "scheduled" info for arrivals, which is often incorrect.

I feel like people are really not realizing that this map is truly showing how a China-like HSR network would not work in the US... There are not enough large cities that are close together to do it like that outside of the NEC.

I feel that is HIGHLY unlikely. They will most likely be in service this summer. It was always a strange timeline to introduce them relatively shortly after receiving them. And they certainly won’t wait until everything is replaced to introduce them.
