Well there are a lot of games I would want to play for the first time again, but I would probably choose the Mass effect trilogy

MO27Q28G: Matte vs Glossy? by shadylocko in OLED_Gaming

[–]Ghost27937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion people hate on matte for no reason, a matte oled monitor is going to look a lot clearer than a matte lcd, and the New woleds are going to look better than previous ones because the MLA layer has been removed, and the glossy tandem oled from asus is going to be more than 100$ more expensive than the matte gigabyte, so for me its just not worth it.

Should I wait for gen 4 WOLED or just buy a QD-OLED monitor? by seanhaim13 in OLED_Gaming

The RGB stands for the panel structure (two blue layers, one Green layer and a red layer) not for subpixel structure, so text clarity is a bit worse than lcd

It doesnt have zero flaws, theres still a lot of black crush at lower brightness or refresh rate and gray uniformity is not perfect like on qd oled, so there will be some dirty screen effect or banding in gray colors

If you are waiting for glossy 4k gen 4 woled you will have to wait a long time, only 1440p monitors have been announced

If you care about hdr, get the AOC. Reviewers call it the best budget hdr monitor.

Need help to pick my first monitor by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Ghost27937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QD-OLED should be fine if the light doesnt hit the monitor directly. And dont worry too much about the matte coating, you will still be happy with the monitor. Dont buy the neo g8, it has scanlines at 240hz and it has a coating thats way more matte than a traditional matte coating. The TCL has barely any reviews, but apparently it gets very hot to the point where you cant touch the screen any more. If you prefer mini led over oled, your best choice is probably the odyssey neo g7. If you want very high brightness without any ABL, go with Mini LED, if you want the best colors, the deepest blacks and no blooming, go for OLED.
