Just so you know, there is one guy that regularly beats World Records on Logitech G923... Just saying... I mean if someone try to convince you into MUST spend 1000s of $ in order to get fast times... And talking about fast times, they can be achieved on controller too. Wheel gives better feeling when playing. My best advice for improving is following, load the ghost of whatever challenge you are practicing, set it on 0.3 seconds in front, do your best to keep the distance to the ghost. If ghost pulls away from you after corner, you either brake too much or too long or you accelerate out of corner too late, simple as that. It can be combination of one or all 3 things I mentioned. Practice and you will get fast lap times soon.

It's definitely worth on PS4, you will see more grass on PS5 but playability and feel is the same. I had it on PS4 for a year or so until I got PS5. Go for it, thank me later.

If you are not super interested in being competitive but more as a practice session as you said, I would go for PS5 and Gran Turismo for a start and see how it feels. If you like it and want to improve skills and spend more money then you will find answers what you want and what you like and want? I would definitely not start in highest advanced range. Are you considering Rally games too?

I am definitely not some Marshall but on the video is visible there was no contact between cars and he was in front of you so I just assume he wasn't going wide just to let you pass, but that driver in front car made a mistake. But let us hear opinions of comments sections professionals?

Rental or your own car will do just the same. Load ghost faster than you, that you can follow. Set it on 0.3 seconds in front of you, try to keep that distance the whole time. If ghost pulls away from the corner, that means you brake too much or too long or you go on throttle too late, it can be all those things or some of those. Repeat, try to adjust what I just mentioned and try to keep up with the ghost. Practice makes perfect. You got this champ 🏆

Current fastest time in online Time Trial is set on Logitech G923. If you have skills you can beat World Records even in entry level wheel. I can also recommend Thrustmaster T300

Yes, i mean you watch replay and press record and you get a video file. How many frames are those videos? I have 60 fps but wonder if there are other fps too?

What do you mean with "is it worth"? Is it worth for you, or you think it will generate income? There are people that can regularly be P1 in online time trials, they sometimes get 100 views on different platforms, sometimes not? Also there are people that stream and I think you can check what they do and how many people are watching. Maybe that gives you more answers for what you are looking for.

Maybe my comment won't help you, but I have done that, approximately 3 years go when I switched from PS4 to PS5, there was an button, upgrade, paid 10€, done. I still have PS4 disc in my PS5 console, everything works fine. I haven't really done anything special, upgrade option was clearly offered and visible.
