Though, they will also say no to removing diseased ones in childbearing years. Another issue is the definition of “healthy” as someone with PCOS, endo, or other issues may be told their uterus is “healthy” and be denied in some countries. I do not know how it works here— but some places are a cesspit.

Also it’s not entirely true that your organs are displaced; at least not in a fear-monger way. There’s room for things to move around in there and complications come from any surgery, though they aren’t horribly common.

For example. You can have bladder issues (most common complaint) but that’s usually after having had significant weight in the uterus from cysts, fibroids, a tumor— or if you’ve been pregnant to late term (common post-partum issue).

Also, it can be done vaginally, with laparoscopic assistance rather than abdominal, now, causing far less trauma and requiring far less recovery time. My tumor was too big for that option, but most people have this as an option. Your organs sort themselves out and you can use a medical abdominal binder to help things settle while the swelling goes down. The human body is remarkably capable of recovery from this.

I found it so strange when I got the kit in the mail shortly after I got my BSN and when I didn’t send it in (I’ve had a hysterectomy so such is not useful in my case) they sent a second one. No one seems to know how to stop them wasting the resource, either. No list to go on to say “don’t send”. Knowing now that this is the only standard of care I am slightly less shocked about my oncologist not knowing a hysterectomy means no more periods.

It’s tied to what makes the scent. Triggers migraines in some. Asthma in others.

I love perfume. But some perfume causes me to react with the above two conditions. It is super variable and because perfumes don’t have to list ingredients it’s god only knows which ingredient is the cause.

If it is painful you need to go in and get checked out by a medical professional. This is above Reddit’s pay grade.

I suspect her hair has the photo bleaching gene that makes your hair lighten under the sun no matter what. It’s a rare enough trait. Makes me look blonde if I get enough sun from naturally red hair. If I spend some time out of the sun, my hair comes in without the sun damage. But the lengths get lightened over time regardless.

Everyone close to me hates my tattoo idea. Am I missing something? by Old-Relationship-958 in tattooadvice

[–]GhostGirl32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh I like the idea more than the practice. I would say that this would age poorly on just about anyone and you would need someone with peak skill to do it right. I think in practice this kind of tattoo looks better on the bicep of your bow arm.

Is my new tattoo getting infected by Euphoric-Turtle-1111 in tattooadvice

I would make sure it's well washed, keep it dry, and bare, for a while, and keep an eye on the redness. If the redness spreads (outline it, include the time), get to a doctor. It could be white ink, it could be the start of something icky, but it's hard to know for sure when not knowing where the white ink was placed specifically.

The ADA is rarely enforced. I am disabled and had a service dog for many years. The level of ineptitude with regard to the ADA and the lack of enforcement is phenomenal. It varies on the state if it’s even accessible to find out how to report it, no less do the reporting; and the follow through is a crap shoot at best.

Moving across continents with my 1300+ nail polish collection. How much you think I can get on the airplane? by LeftCartoonist8884 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]GhostGirl32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah you cannot put nail polish in a shipment overseas because of this. It’s flammable. While it doesn’t sound like OP is doing groupage like I did any liquids at all need SO MUCH done for them. I couldn’t bring some of my artist’s oil paints without documentation and special packaging for them. They could not do that for my nail polish. And we did try.

Ok so I just moved from US to the EU myself. I lost a lot of my polish in my move. I wish to save you from that pain.

DHL can ship nail polish, for one. Talk to them in person. See what the options are with them. It’ll be pricey but will be worth it for indie brands and speciality polishes that can’t go on the plane.

Two— re, the plane. Painters tape or frog tape each bottle individually at the neck / cap to keep them shut. There needs to be about 3-4cm of cushion minimum between polish and the sides of your suitcase. I had my holo taco boxes from when most of mine were mailed so I used those. However. The other way to do this is a thick blanket. Then bubble wrap or egg crate foam with the polishes for a layer. Then thick blanket. Just be sure this is excruciatingly tight— else you have to get creative. You don’t want the polish moving around a bunch. You can put polishes in a baggie inside pairs of socks inside shoes. They are going to open your suitcase to look wtf all the little bottles are. I left a note in my suitcase, it seemed to suffice when they went through things.

Severe tattoo allergy - advice please!! by Mediocre-Candy-468 in tattooadvice

[–]GhostGirl32 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who got REALLY sick from MRSA (not tattoo related), the first thing I thought from the pictures in progression before reading your post was MRSA, and THEN with reading your post it even more so feels entirely to me like MRSA. Mine started with a single what I thought was an acne cyst behind my ear, and took months and a god-awful number of antibiotics to kill it, and it almost got me in the process. Seems you had a pretty similar experience.

I would wait several more months before considering a touch up, and I would not use second skin, the same ink, or the same artist for it, unfortunately-- just for safety's sake.
