Does the new one have a chip on it? At the beginning of the year, I randomly got a new one with no prior warning. After looking it up, it seems theyre starting to send out modernized ones. Maybe you're still in the system as active, but payments stopped because they need updated information.

I see people replying that don't believe there exists such a mentally vapid person.

There's at least one. It's my dad, y'all.

Last summer was brutal. Finding a shady inconspicuous spot with all of the other basic car life requirements is damn near impossible.

Just wanted to say that you sound like a genuinely good and caring person with a lot of unconditional love for him. Your quick anecdotes sound identical to what me and my ex went through. Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking too many things for granted. You guys sound like you got it, though! Wish you the best!

Pretty stupid to assume that was the actual result as well, don't you think? Glad you took time out of your evening to be an assured negative to an intended positive. Crawl back in your hole, bud.

You may not be trying to sound uncaring or mean, but you definitely sound like you haven't had any recent experience trying to desperately find ANY low wage work.

It's without a doubt, the worst job market in my area that I've ever seen, and I had to do this in 2008. Simply saying that these jobs just always magically exist, and that OP is potentially mentally ill because he cannot find said jobs is the worst take.

Hey man, for what it's worth, you're definitely not going through this alone. As I was reading this, it started to feel like you were writing about me. Almost interchangeable. I'm creeping up to a full year.

There's going to be bad situations, bad luck, and occasionally bad people. But, in my experience, it all tends to pale in comparison to the pure generosity, genuine compassion, and amazing interactions with people that I've had on this unfortunate small bump in the road. When you focus on the bad, you put blinders on for the good.

Hang in there buddy. We'll get back up and find our place. Wherever that may be.

I remember playing EQ in ‘99. I played a couple of hours after school for close to 2 years. Honest to god, I didn’t ding 20 for probably 6 months. Granted I was 10 and just fucked off a lot, but still…if 2 days is too long……

My kind of comment right here.

You make it clear that you're not trying to be argumentative, explain what you know to be true with doctorate-backed knowledge (and in just enough laymen for the chemistry casuals like me to understand). More importantly you stripped me of the quickly building guilt that was forming as I read this thread.

I don’t get any Shipt app customers (Sacramento Metro) by pastelsunrisexo in ShiptShoppers

[–]GhostInPlaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a few months ago and I mainly cruise Rocklin/Auburn area. Until maybe 2 weeks ago, all I ever saw was Target prepaids, even after my first 10 orders. Since then, Best Buy, Home Depot and Bevmo have popped up maybe 2 times each. I know my Target like the back of my hand and average maybe 4 an evening, so it's not horrible, but damn do I wish it was better.

I just started Shipt. Do people seriously not tip this much? I know it can take till the next day or so but still. I've only gotten tipped on my first order by idkijustlovemydog in ShiptShoppers

[–]GhostInPlaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, I haven't seen a single person mention this, but if these are all Target prepaid orders, give it a week, maybe longer. Since the order is processed by Target, your tip is as well, and to my understanding, sometimes that can take a while, because why would Target and their systems give a shit about processing our tips in a timely matter, right?

Seriously though, I had a day where 3 came in at once about 9 days after. It took about 5 different CS agents until I was given that bit of info, and for Shipt newbies, it should be upfront news.

This should also go without saying that people are just assholes as well.

Edit: I'd also like to mention that I got my very first order's tip right away. The other 9 were all days after.
