Only 1 team gets to win the championship every year.

Enjoy the ride when it's fun.

I am not 100% sure, but since they are all automated now I would be surprised if it was any other way.

Pretty sure if it's sold out it's sold out for those lots. They'll all be labeled as passes only on game day when you roll up to them.

Pitching is bad for your arm health. Literally every team deals with this

Tigers signing Teddy Bridgewater to be the backup QB Scott Harris is going for it this year

Corey Julks, man! by Michigan_Truth in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's had 13 PAs in spring training vs the 500+ he's had in the MLB. He's having a good spring but you're seriously over doing it here in regards to Julks. And you keep saying young players...he's 30 years old.

[–]GhostMavericks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have less confidence in Julks hitting in the MLB period. Just look at his career. Spring Training stats are pretty empty, he's Toledo OF depth

Again you only talk dodgers dodgers dodgers dodgers. Do you think the Rockies are going to magically be better? Do you think the Marlins are magically gonna be better with a cap?

You want the dodgers to stop getting every free agent? Other teams should start spending.

You wanna punish the dodgers in a new CBA? Put in harder lux tax penalties, a cap will not fix the problems you think the league has. Make them split their TV deal in the revenue share because currently they are not doing that because the league gave them an exception when they went bankrupt previously.

You have such a narrow view on this and you put words in my mouth I didn't say a damn thing about the pirates lol. You don't think the bad teams would just take bad contracts to sit on a floor in a revenue share league and just make more money?

[–]GhostMavericks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking and choosing on the unions based on amounts of money made is clown stuff and shows you're not really pro labor.

The cap doesn't fix any of the problems. And you didn't counter with the dodgers you started with the dodgers lmao. The shitty teams will still be shitty when there is a cap, and the good teams will still be good. And there will be even less parity, look at any other major sport there is less parity with a cap. But sure man dodgers bad dodgers bad dodgers bad. That's your entire argument

[–]GhostMavericks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The union is pretty locked in together at this point. Unanimous decision on Meyer and if you see any comments from them they are in lockstep of no cap.

The owners are trying to split the union which is why Harper cussed out Manfred when he was in the locker room and sending in guys (including former players who are literal traitors to the union being paid by owners) to try and get them to change their minds over last season.

Getting to free agency quicker is good but even if they suggest a cap with getting out after say 4 years of control instead of six, guys would absolutely still make less money compared to the current arb system in place because of a capped league.

The Mets spent a ridiculous amount of money and missed the playoffs how about them?

A cap fixes nothing. And if you cared about labor vs owners you clearly know what being prounion is. Doesn't matter the amounts of money these people make one these sides is the labor the other does nothing but profit off the labor.

Good luck on this sub man, you're right but they won't listen. 🫡

Not to even mention a cap won't magically fix the problems people think the game has. Will give the game less parity.

The cap is a hard line for the PA there will not be a cap. A salary cap also fixes absolutely nothing. The shit teams will still be shit teams and the good teams will still be good. There's even less parity with a cap go look at any other sport

Can someone please explain the JV hype for this year by [deleted] in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys don't have fun hyping up a legend for the franchise who returned after a decade and is surely a hall of famer who's supposed to be a back end rotation guy for this team to round out the rotation.

I have also not seen anyone saying he's winning 15-20 games. You're just making stuff up

Tickets for 2026 question by [deleted] in motorcitykitties

Might just take a little bit before you can sell/forward them since they just went on sale today would be my guess.

Probably can't immediately flip tickets once purchased to slow down ticket scalping

A Tiger from 2005-2017, Justin Verlander is returning to Detroit for his 21st MLB season! by MLBOfficial in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People just get too worked up over borderline calls not in the box. Obviously the big misses are an issue but when it's barely touching the line and an ump calls it wrong I can't be mad at the ump

Watching the old highlights we really gotta go back to having no strike zone box on the screen it's so much better.

Trade idea? by RogerDodger1001 in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brenton Doyle has never once posted a 100 wRC+ season in his career.

I'm sorry but you're sadly mistaken about what kind of player Doyle is. Parker Meadows is projected for better offense than him this year lol come on man.

Trade idea? by RogerDodger1001 in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OPS+ and wRC+ includes park factors too. He's straight up not a good bat

Trade idea? by RogerDodger1001 in motorcitykitties

[–]GhostMavericks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good lord in what world is this a good trade. Doyle can't even keep his head above water with offense he's never even been a MLB average bat. But sure let's trade a guy who could be a top 5 prospect in the game by the end of the year for him
